GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

Carlos Lago from Motor Trend is here to break it all down. 60 miles per hour? 3.2 seconds. 60 to 0? 91 feet. Lateral acceleration? A staggering 1.16g, a figure that is the highest MT has ever recorded for a vehicle that isn't a race car. It's an utterly astonishing piece of work, this Z06, and just when you think it can't possibly get any more impressive, Randy Pobst hustles an auto-equipped Z06 around Road Atlanta in just 1:30. Chevy bringing updated Equinox to Chicago
Fri, Feb 6 2015An updated Chevy Equinox will be revealed at next week's Chicago Auto Show, the automaker confirmed Friday in a press release. The debut of the updated, 2016 Equinox comes on the heels of the midsize crossover – pictured above in its current, 2015-model-year form – posting its best January sales month ever. No details have been released, but Chevy did send out the teaser image you see at right, showing an updated front fascia with new headlamps and LED running lights. This update for the Equinox can't come soon enough. The midsize crossover segment is huge right now, and Chevy's player has largely been unchanged since the second-generation Equinox debuted in 2009. When asked about when we might see a tweaked version of the GMC Terrain – the Equinox's sibling – a General Motors spokesperson could not confirm any specific timing. In any case, we'll bring you all the official details of the new Equinox when it shows its updated face, next week.
