Chevrolet Nova Standard on 2040-cars
Pleasant Lake, Indiana, United States
I have owned this car for 11 years, I am not a flipper. This car has been my baby and treated like one. I have restored it twice and lets start with what I did eleven years ago:Floor pans wire brushed and replaced one patch panel passenger side rear. Sprayed with rush inhibitor and put sound proofing in and new carpetTrunk did not have any holes. Wire brushed and sprayed rust inhibitor and put sound proofing in. I was going to put carpet in but never didNew leaf springs and bushings and front rear shocksWire brushed frame and painted New radiatorNew quarter panels What I have done between then and two years ago:New coy wheelsRebuilt transmissionHeadlinerChanged fluid in rear endNew CD player/radioOil pressure gauge and water gaugeReupholstered front seatNew 350 Chevy crate motor from Jegs ( currently has about 4000 miles on motor ) Two years ago to present day:New paint Job (very nice, no orange peel with lots of wet sanding!)New door pins and bushingsNew dash padNew door panels still in the boxNew battery Shaved rear bumper and took out filler stripTook off rubber bummer stops in the front bumper and filled in all holes. (Both bumpers give the car a much better look now)Heater, all gauges, turn signals, break lights, running lights, all workNew door handles, door locks, and weather striping. New bezels FlawsSomething drains battery if car sits for more then 4-5 days. I have never tried to locate it because I don't drive it everyday. I put a quick disconnect on battery but it hasn't been an issue for meThere are two rubber pieces that run under the front bumper, the paint is cracking on those.I do not roll down the back windows because when I restored it two years ago there was a quarter glass run channel that they do not make for a 74 Nova. I took out run channel and put weather stripping in. I was not trying to cut corners, they just don't make this for this car! I will guarantee I have twice as much in this car as I am selling it for. The only reason that I am even selling is that I built a Rat Rod (1 year ago) and I just don't drive it anymore. This is not a perfect car or a show car but a very, very nice driver that turns a lot of heads. I have gotten a lot of complements on it over the years. Any questions feel free to call me or text me. (812)584-1902. Thank You

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes
Tue, 28 Aug 2012
Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.

Autotrader picks best cars for 2015's college grads
Sun, May 31 2015Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed.
