Up for auction is my 1975 Chevy Nova Custom Hatchback.
The car is not perfect but is in very good shape, runs and drives excellent and is a perfect vehicle for someone looking for a daily driver muscle car! The engine is a 327 small block taken out of a 1968 Chevy Nova. The body is a Nova Custom Hatchback with 73,000 miles. I had the intention of making this an SS clone as you can see by the SS emblem on the front grill. I do have the side and rear SS stickers.
The gun metal grey paint job is fair but looks pretty good from 5 feet. There are some spots of body work that need touch up as well as a bubble or two. You will see these clearly in the pictures. The interior has been re-done by painting existing panels and replacing those that were too far gone, having the front bench seat professionally recovered locally here in the Charlotte, NC area and replacing the carpet. The dash is in excellent shape with no cracks. I replaced the factory rally rims with 15x8 Weld rims in the back and 15x6 Weld rims in the front. The tires are in great shape. The original rally rims are available to the winning bidder at no cost if interested.
Here is what has been done to the car since I have owned it:
Interior re-do as described above.
Front end tear down with a deep cleaning and painting of the engine bay
Replaced the radiator support.
Replaced the rear main seal
New plug wires
New distributor
New alternator
New hoses and belts
Coolant has been flushed
Painted the engine
New intake
New valve, timing chain and air cleaner covers
New heater core
New battery and battery support plate
New rear leaf springs
New rear air shocks
New front shocks
New gas tank
New exhaust from the headers down to the Thrush turbo mufflers
New bushings
New door and hatch weatherstrip
New door pins so the doors do not sag, they now close as they should
The front windshield has a couple of scratches on the drivers side that I have not been able to buff out. The rest of the glass is in good shape. Hazards work but the turn signals do not blink, they do light up. I have not yet replaced a second fuse so it could be as simple as that. The radio works but I do not have speakers installed. Wiring is run to the back hatch area.
I drive this car back and forth to work a couple of times a week, about 30 miles round trip. It runs great and drives very well.
I'm trying to represent this car as honestly as possible but if you have any questions please let me know.
A non refundable deposit of $500 is due upon auction end. The full balance is due within 7 business days of auction end. The car and title will be turned over once payment has fully cleared. The car is sold as is, with no warranty and no refund.

Valet mode captures joyride in red Corvette
Thu, Dec 18 2014A man in California is among the first to catch a valet behaving badly in his 2015 Corvette using a controversial built-in recording feature. Dan Cowles told KTLA 5 when he bought his dream car, a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, he opted for the Performance Data Recorder. The Corvette PDR uses a high-definition camera mounted in the windshield header, a microphone in the cabin and a GPS receiver that record and track the sports car's movements and sounds. They work together to produce a video with telemetry overlay, so you can see acceleration rates, lap times and g-forces. The system can be customized to show extensive performance data, or simply video of your drive like a traditional dash cam. It also comes with Valet Mode, which locks the glove box, disables entertainment and records video. The audio recording feature ran afoul of several state's recording consent laws, but this video has no audio, indicating the fix may have been as easy as turning off the microphone. Cowles dropped off his hot red 'Vette with the valets at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts in Costa Mesa, CA. When he got his car back he checked the PDR and discovered footage of the valet taking a short, but intense, joyride in the garage. In the video, the valet finds a straightaway in a tiered parking garage and pushes the car to 50 miles per hour in five seconds before quickly stopping. He then parks the car without incident. The valet then gets out of the car and takes one more admiring look at the front. The valet company has yet to commented on the video, according to Fox News, but valets everywhere should be on notice; that little red Corvette you have your eye on may have its eyes on you. Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
Zombie cars: 9 discontinued vehicles that aren't dead yet
Thu, Jan 6 2022Car models come and go, but as revealed by monthly sales data, once a car is discontinued, it doesn't just disappear instantly. And in the case of some models, vanishing into obscurity can be a slow, tedious process. That's the case with the 12 cars we have here. All of them have been discontinued, but car companies keep racking up "new" sales with them. There are actually more discontinued cars that are still registering new sales than what we decided to include here. We kept this list to the oldest or otherwise most interesting vehicles still being sold as new, including a supercar. We'll run the list in alphabetical order, starting with *drumroll* ... BMW 6 Series: 55 total sales BMW quietly removed the 6 Series from the U.S. market during the 2019 model year. It had been available in three configurations, a hardtop coupe, a convertible and a sleek four-door coupe-like shape. BMW i8: 18 total sales We've always had a soft spot for the BMW i8, despite the fact that it never quite fit into a particular category. It was sporty, but nowhere near as fast as similarly-priced competitors. It looked very high-tech and boasted a unique carbon fiber chassis design and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but wasn't really designed for maximum efficiency or maximum performance. Still, the in-betweener was very cool to look at and drive, and 18 buyers took one home over the course of 2021. Chevy Impala: 750 total sales The Impala represented classic American tastes at a time when American tastes were shifting away from soft-riding sedans with big interior room and trunk space and into higher-riding crossovers. A total of 750 sales were inked last year. Chrysler 200: 15 total sales The Chrysler 200 was actually a pretty nice sedan, with good looks and decent driving dynamics let down by a lack of roominess, particularly in the back seat. Of course, as we said regarding the Chevy Impala, the number of Americans in the market for sedans is rapidly winding down, and other automakers are following Chrysler's footsteps in canceling their slow-selling four-doors. Even if Chrysler never really found its footing in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan segment, apparently dealerships have a few leftover 2017 200s floating around. And for some reason, 15 buyers decided to sign the dotted line to take one of these aging sedans home last year.
