Engine, clutch, brake shoes, drums, shocks, tires, exhaust, door panels, carpet are all new."

The only part off this car that is not perfect is the paint. The paint is nice as you can see in the pics, but it is 14+ years old and it shows in the door jambs, under the hood and in the trunk area. It does not have any door dings or dents from other car doors. The original Rally Sport rims have been sand blasted and repainted the original GM silver and look new, the tires are new Cooper Cobra GTs. The engine was just rebuilt with flat top pistons, a mild Sig Irsky cam, Edelbrock intake, Holley 600 carb. Hooker long tube headers with Flow Master mufflers and 2 1/4" welded exhaust to the back of the car. The clutch is new along with the brake shoes, drums, and shocks. The transmission is the factory original 3 speed with the original floor shifter and works perfectly and is smooth and quiet. The rear end is the original 10 bolt and is also smooth and quiet. The interior of the car has the original bucket seats and everything is in mint condition. Lights, horn, steering, and brakes are also in perfect condition. This car drives better today than the day it came off the assembly line. When I purchased this car in California 14 years ago the odometer read 11,275, it now reads almost 13,700 and that may go up a little because I am driving it while it is for sale .I would assume the the mileage is in excess of 100,000 miles, but you wouldn't know it by driving it. The car has been in my garage almost the whole time that I have owned it. All the new parts and work listed have been done in the last 2 months. The car is way to nice to just sit in a garage and rot, so that is why I am selling it. This car is in unbelievably nice condition and you won't be disappointed in it. The car is for sale as is and there is no warranty. I have described the car as accurately as I can. I am sure if you are like me, if you get this car there will be things that you may want to change or do differently. I have the original intake manifold, exhaust manifold and carb. that will go with the car if you want it.

First 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 Sells For One Million Dollars

Mon, Apr 14 2014

NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick loves buying first-built Chevrolet models for charity. He paid $1 million to buy the first production 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible and $650,000 to get the first 2014 Chevy Camaro Z/28. Hendrick's latest purchase happened at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach where he got into a bidding war to pay $1 million to get the first 2015 Corvette Z06. The bidding came quick with the car reaching $100,000 within 3 seconds and hitting $500,000 in about 35 seconds. The money from the sale was donated to the Karmanos Cancer Institute. GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.

Personal testimonies show real-world effect of plugging in with Chevy Volt

Mon, Jan 13 2014

At this point, there are tens of thousands of individual stories about what it's like to live with a Chevrolet Volt. But it also remains informative to take a look at one of these in depth. For example, one Atlanta-area Volt owner says he's cut his cents-per-mile ownership costs by almost 40 percent compared to his previous car primarily because of his ability to drive almost all the time on electric power. Jeffrey Cohen told Clean Technica that he put about 14,000 miles on his Volt extended-range plug-in hybrid for the year that ended October 2013, and that more than 92 percent of those were on electrons. He estimates his "lifetime" miles per gallon rating at a whopping 384 mpg, a figure pushed upward by the fact that he installed a Level 2 charger at home while his employer added an external 110-volt charger at work. Cohen is spending 45 cents a mile for his car, compared to 73 cents in his Infiniti M35. As a result, he's spending 45 cents a mile for his car, compared to 73 cents a mile with his prior vehicle, an Infiniti M35. About two-thirds of those Volt costs are for the $349-a-month lease payments, while 15 percent is insurance, 11 percent is for the charger and seven percent for the gas and electricity that actually powers the car. Helping lower that last figure is an overnight electricity rate that's about 10 percent of Cohen's daytime rate. Chevy parent General Motors hopes such testimonies will re-trigger sales for the Volt in 2014. Last year, GM sold 23,094 Volts, down 1.6 percent from 2012. We expect our readers have similar stories they'd like to share in the Comments.
