You are bidding on a 1972 Chevy Nova 2Dr coupe.  It Is a rust free California survivor that has always been garaged when not being driven.  It has only 55,000 actual miles and has always been meticulously maintained.  I am the second owner.  Adult owned and driven always.  Has original 6 Cyl engine, Powerglide transmission, power disc brakes, power steering, and ten bolt rear end.  Original color is code 75 Cranberry Red with standard black interior.

Interior:

The pics pretty much say it all.  The interior is original and in excellent condition.  Headliner is excellent.  Everything works great, steering column is tight.  Windows roll up and down great. Other than an aftermarket radio installed back in the day, you will not find a more excellent original interior.

Drivetrain:

Runs and drives like a brand new 72 Nova.  Runs great, drives great, stops great.  Has front and rear sway bars.  Tires are new, newer battery also.  Again, always maintained.

Body:

This is an original California car with no rust or body issues as you can see in the pictures. Sheetmetal is all original to the car, never had a panel replaced.  Trunk floor is original with original spatter paint, no rust, and original jack and spare. Glass and trim are excellent, doors, trunk and hood fit and close tight, like new.  Even the original door and trunk seals are in great condition.  Other than minor paint chips scratches and parking lot dings, as you can see, this body is in excellent condition. Nothing over and above normal wear and tear.

Potential Buyers:

I have described this car honestly and to the best of my knowledge, but please, if you need additional pictures, or have any specific questions, ask BEFORE bidding as this sale is final with no warranty.  Please understand, this is a 40+year old car, so expect normal wear and tear based on mileage and my decription.  Serious buyers can feel free to call me with any questions (530) 307-8973.  If I don`t answer, please LEAVE A MESSAGE and I WILL call you back!!  Lowball offers will not receive a response, I am not out of work, losing my house, etc.  I also reserve the right to end auction at any time for local sale.  Yes, this car is available in person for inspection at any time before the end of auction as I have nothing to hide.

>SERIOUS BIDDERS WITH 15 OR LESS FEEDBACK WILL CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING AS I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID OTHERWISE.  NOTHING PERSONAL, BUT I HAVE DEALT WITH TOO MANY NON-PAYING BIDDERS IN THE PAST AND IT WILL NOT HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN.  THANKS.   Larry

GM files for Z71 Trail Boss trademark

Mon, Jan 26 2015

Try as they might to keep their plans a secret, automakers have their hands tipped through a variety of methods – be they through loose lips, spy shots or patent and trademark applications. That's how we know, in this instance, that General Motors is working on (or at least considering) an off-road machine wearing the name Z71 Trail Boss – the name which our compatriots at AutoGuide.com tell us that GM has registered for use on light-duty trucks. Now if that alphanumeric designator sounds familiar, it should. GM has long used it to designate the off-road packages on many of its body-on-frame trucks from Chevy and GMC. These days you can order a Z71 package on the Chevy Colorado, Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban and on the GMC Canyon, Sierra and Yukon. The package typically includes components like a beefed-up suspension bits, high-capacity air cleaner and underbody protection plates. The Trail Boss designator would seem to suggest something further reaching than a suspension package, though. Just what it would entail we don't know; minds immediately start running toward Chevy or GMC going after the Ford F-150 Raptor, but we'll likely be looking at something closer to the Trailhawk packages Jeep offers on the likes of the Renegade and Cherokee. Here's why automakers roll out those Texas-themed pickup trucks

Thu, Sep 29 2016

Every year, automakers with a full-size truck link make a big show of the Texas State Fair, usually involving a reveal of a new model. Sometimes they show a whole new truck, and other times a special edition centered on the Lone Star state. While some people might write this off as a quirk of the industry, others might be wondering, "What's the big deal with Texas?" As it turns out, part of the big deal with Texas is big truck sales. According to Dave Sullivan, product analysis manager at AutoPacific, Texas buys more trucks than any other state in the country. It's not a small margin either. Edmunds.com, one in five trucks sold in the US are sold in Texas. The state also accounts for 15 percent of the country's large truck sales, which is more than twice that of California, the second largest truck market in America. Even when you break down sales only in Texas, trucks are a huge piece of the pie - Sullivan says that a quarter of new vehicle sales in Texas are trucks. One in five trucks sold in the US are sold in Texas. But it's not just sales that make truck builders give attention to Texas. As Sullivan explained, "Pickups are life in Texas." Both he and Hugh Milne, marketing and advertising manager for the Chevy Silverado line, said that trucks are key fixtures in Texas society, as both work trucks and luxury vehicles (or Texas Cadillacs as Milne called them). Milne said Texas is so important in the truck market that if you want to be successful in the rest of the country, "you've got to be successful in Texas." As for the State Fair, it has become a prime location for reveals in part because of the importance of the Texas market and because of how big the fair is. Milne also revealed that the State Fair also hosts its own auto show, so it's an ideal venue for a vehicle introduction. So there you have it. Why do truck builders obsess over Texas? It's because Texas obsesses over trucks. When you have one market that loves your product that much, you give it the attention it deserves. Bentley has been awarded the Carbon Trust Standard for reductions of carbon, water use and waste production in manufacturing. The Carbon Trust is an organization that helps groups such as businesses and governments reduce carbon emissions, use of energy and resources, and waste output. From 2011 to 2013, Bentley reduced CO2 emissions by 16 percent per car manufactured, curtailed water use by 35.7 percent, and saw significant waste reductions. Darran Messem of Carbon trust says, "Bentley is clearly passionate about continuing to improve its environmental performance, which is reflected by the fact the company has consistently invested in new technology." Read more in the press release below. Chevrolet is giving 12 Volts to MBAs Across America. The organization will use the range-extended electric cars in its efforts to help MBA students learn from and work with small business owners. As part of the MBAs Across America program's first year, four students drove 8,000 miles to provide entrepreneurs with free business counseling. The program has expanded, and this year, teams of MBAs will use the Volts to travel to 25 cities to offer their services. Learn more about the partnership between Chevrolet and MBAs Across America in the press release below. A professor from the University of Michigan has found fuel cycle analysis to be too flawed to be relied upon for measuring CO2 impacts of transportation fuels. Professor John DeCicco of the university's Energy Institute feels that the flaws in calculating the carbon footprint of liquid fuel production and combustion make such lifecycle analysis impractical. He suggests, instead, to focus to carbon capture. Since capturing CO2 directly from a vehicle is probably never going to happen, DiCicco believes the solution is to capture carbon from the atmosphere in sectors outside of transportation. Says DiCicco, "Research should be ramped up on options for increasing the rate at which CO2 is removed from the atmosphere and on programs to manage and utilize carbon fixed in the biosphere, which offers the best CO2 removal mechanism now at hand. Such strategies can complement measures that control the demand for liquid fuels by reducing travel activity, improving vehicle efficiency and shifting to non-carbon fuels." Read more at Green Car Congress. Global transportation energy consumption is expected to increase by 25.4 percent by 2035, according to a report by Navigant Research.
