1970 Chevrolet Nova I bought this Nova from California with the intension to rod it , I figured it was a clone. When it arrived it was in original state not repainted or molested. It was with original matching numbers , motor, transmission and rear differential, 350 4 barrel, 350 turbo, 10 bolt rear end (no posi). I have no paper work so I don't know if it is original ss or not. I didn't care, I replaced both front fenders, both full rear quarters and outer wheel wells. Driver floor pan patch and pass rear toe pan. It has been tuned up, it has ps, pb, a new vinyl top and paint ( 1 yr ago for paint). Astro blue 15 " ralley wheels. miles on car reads 070,128 I believe they are original. don't know for sure. Has new carpet and seat covers are original the dash pad is not cracked, head liner is good. All tinted glass no broken or fogged windows, the trunk is solid. The pics speak for rest of the car.Nice running and driving little Nova. If you have a wife or girlfriend ask permission first. don't ask reserve. No Buy It Now. NHTSA closes book on Ford, GM probes of 600,000 vehicles
Thu, Nov 27 2014US safety regulators have closed a pair of investigations into some 500,000 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder sedans built between 2004 to 2007, and 100,000 Chevrolet Impala models from 2014. The Ford investigation focused on rusting heat shields, which may become dislodged and jam the steering, according to Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that this happened very rarely. In fact, of the ten incidents filed with the government safety watchdog, six came from a single police department, which evidently had some sort of problem with its reporting. As for the Impala, the NHTSA investigators attributed two incidences of "unintended autonomous braking" to user error. In both cases, the vehicles were involved in rear-end collisions. According to GM investigators, it's believed that drivers accidentally activated the electric parking brake, causing the collisions. The vehicles in question were rental cars. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
