1970 chevy nova car is A REAL 396 SS CAR however the motor was changed by previous owner to a race built 383 stroker motor with world product sportsman 2 heads holly 800cfm carb high rise intake fuller roller set up msd ignition 10gal. fuel cell 2 batteries 12 bolt posi rear (drum brakes).. the car makes alot of power and lays it to the ground very well . very solid car no rot and minimal surface rust on chasis very clean! car came from southern tennesse last year and was bought to be a driver/cruise nite car it turns heads everywhere it goes and wouldnt hesitate to drive it 1000 miles tomorrow. as far as the body goes- the rockers fenders roof floors quarters trunk pan and trunk lid are all 100 percent solid! the quarters have some previous body work from dent repair i know it wasnt rust repair because the quarters are solid everywhere just shotty worksman ship (cant tell from 20ft) the hood is fiberglass and has a rivetted on 3" cowl. car also has fiberglass bumpers front and rear to ake the car lighter. NOW PARTS I DO NOT HAVE: BACK SEAT, INNER FENDERS,AND ORIGIONAL SEATS SO PLEASE DONT ASK. I bought the car basically the way you see it and i love it but have no time for it anymore. the entire floor pan has been completly covered in sound deadning material so reduce in car noise vibration fumes and heat so here is a chance to own a fast cool hotrod real deal nova ss for a great price happy bidding! i dont mind helping the auction winner by bringing the car to a local transporter for delivery SERIOUS BUYER QUESTIONS ONLY PLEASE THANKYOU!

GM will make Chevy Volt production announcement tomorrow
Mon, Apr 7 2014Thing are apparently happening to get the next-generation Chevy Volt ready for public consumption. The most obvious proof is in a preview of an announcement (possibly coming tomorrow) that the two main places where General Motors gets the Volt ready -the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant and the Brownstown Township battery assembly facility - will be getting big money upgrades and lots of new positions. The Hamtramck plant builds the Volt and its fancier cousin, the Cadillac ELR, as well as the global versions of the Volt. The Detroit News reports that GM will add 1,400 jobs and spend roughly $450 million at the two locations in order to build the redesigned Volt. What's less clear is exactly what the updates will bring us. We've heard that the new volt will be a 2016 model and come on a new chassis. Speculation in The Detroit News about tomorrow's announcement runs the gamut from a new compact PHEV with less electric range and a lower price (which makes sense) to an updated Volt with more electric range (heard it before) to a new all-electric vehicle (the moon shot). If there's any hints to be gleaned in the international Volts, there are also reports coming in that the Opel brand will get an all-electric vehicle that is cheaper than the Ampera. Read into that what you will. We pestered GM's Kevin Kelly on the new Volt (again) and he said (again) that he couldn't give out any more detail other than what's been reported. He just told AutoblogGreen that there will be an announcement tomorrow and that it will be about the Hamtramck and Brownstown facilities and involve the Volt. So, stay tuned.
Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.

Take the recent rejuvenation of the very first Chevrolet Camaro as an example. The owners started with a strong hunch that the vehicle might be something special and spent years researching to figure it all out before the mechanical work even began. Fisher Body kicked off work on the first Camaro on May 17, 1966, and it was delivered to General Motors just a few days later for final assembly. While the model has earned a place as an American performance icon since then, the original was built more to develop the production process and boasted just a 230-cubic-inch (3.8-liter) inline six and 3-speed transmission. After spending its first few months appearing in promotions, a Chevy dealer in Oklahoma got the gold car in December of '66. It was touted on the sales floor there for years, and the first private owner didn't come until 1969. This short documentary goes into astonishingly comprehensive detail about every bit of the first Camaro's history.
