Up for bid is an awesome classic 1968 Chevy Nova drag car. I recently bought this car at an auction, but I have decided I need a truck more and must sell the Nova.
Here is everything I know about the car:

Exterior:
It has a fiberglass hood, trunk lid, fiberglass front and rear bumpers. Both bumpers have some cracks as pictured below. The hood and trunk are pinned on. The hood is chipped in one corner. The paint is decent and looks nice. The body is in good condition. There is a little filler in the rear quarters and one small spot of rust bubbling through on the passenger's door (I tried to take a picture of the rust bubble but I do not know if it is visible). There is a dent on the roof by the back window (looks like something fell on it). The floor and trunk pans are good and don't have any holes or rust.

Interior:
The interior is set up for racing. It has one plastic racing seat, a B&M pro stick shifter, Autometer Pro-comp Silver Oil, Water, and Fuel gauges, Autometer Sport-Comp Silver Tachometer, no carpet. It is tubbed and has a roll cage. The door insides (door panels) are sheet metal with metal door handles made into them. It has toggle switches for fuel, water pump. It has a QuickCar Ignition Control Panel with push button start.

Drivetrain:
It has a very healthy sounding 454 tall deck big block chevy with a Weiand intake, headers, electric water pump, and electric fuel pump. A turbo 400 transmission, 4:56 gears, and a narrowed 9" rear. I do not know the internals on the engine because I bought it through an auction and the info was not available to me. It has a fuel cell in the trunk and two batteries. The frame has rails welded for extra support as seen in the pictures. The car runs very strong and I think it could be driven on the street if you wanted to.

Wheels/Tires:
The wheels are 15", center caps say Cragar on the front rims although I am not sure if they are Cragar wheels.
The rear wheels are Centerline.
The front tires are Nexen 165-80R15, they have great tread but have some cracking on the sidewalls.
The rear tires are Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial 315/60R15. The driver's side tire looks great, the passenger's side has some wear.

This car is for sale by owner and I have a clear Florida title for it registered in my name.
I have tried to describe the car to the best of my knowledge. I encourage you to look at the car in person or have it inspected before making a decision to purchase it. Please ask all questions before you bid and I will try my best to answer them promptly. There is a low reserve. Once the reserve is met the winning bidder will be required to send a $100 deposit through paypal within 48 hours. The remaining balance is to be paid in cash within 7 days from the end of the auction. Buyer is responsible for the pickup or shipping of the vehicle.

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.

Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
