1968 Chevrolet Nova Pro-Touring
Description:
This jaw dropping 1968 pro touring Nova is flawless in every aspect. Its killer engine/transmission combo will
leave a permanent grin on your face every time you put your foot down. The exterior, interior, and underside are
all extremely well done, everything on this car has been rebuilt, replaced, re-chromed, re-polished, and painted.
You will not find another Nova out there that’s as clean as this one.
Interior:
The interior of the Nova is exceptional and tastefully matches its metallic blue paint. The carpets, headliner,
dashboard, and seats are all in mint condition and that 6-speed Hurst short throw floor shifter looks great as the
centerpiece of the interior. There is an aftermarket radio installed in that sounds fantastic, and there is also a
custom sunroof that doesn’t leak at all and looks like it’s factory.
Exterior:
The exterior, as stated above, is “flawless”. In the sun, the paint has a wet look to it that is just sublime.
There is not one bit of rust on this car, the body is as straight as an arrow, and the panels fit together
perfectly. Those 16″ Vintique billet Rally wheels also complement all of the chrome trim and that beautiful
paint job. The bumpers have been rechromed, all of the trim has been repolished, and the same goes for everything
under the hood, not a single detail was overlooked on this ’68 Nova.
Drivetrain:
The heart of this monster is a fully built 377 ci V8 that sends power through a Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed
transmission. The engine is a 4-bolt main 400 small block that was destroked to a 377 with a 350 Crower crank and
rods, 11:1 Arias pistons, an excellent solid roller Crane cam, 208 intake Brodix heads, Victor Jr. intake, and a
750 BG carburetor, all flowing through Hooker headers and a full 3″ dual exhaust, all ceramic coated black.
Towards the rear is a reworked gas tank with dual pick-ups, frame ties, 3.73 gears, posi-traction and Moser axles
in a 10-bolt rear end. All of that results in 400 hp at the rear wheels, and that’s before you engage the
nitrous system. The car also has heavy-duty leaf springs, Koni shocks, and Baer disc brakes all around.
Key Facts:
Starts up every time with ease
Fully restored to perfection
Fully built 377 ci engine
Absolutely no rust
Tremec T-56 Magnum 6-speed
Pro-touring fun at its finest

2020 Chevy Trax spied sporting design cues from the new Blazer
Wed, Oct 3 2018We saw spy shots in August for what we thought was either a redesigned Chevrolet Trax or new GMC subcompact crossover. At the time we were leaning Chevy. But after this latest batch of spy shots taken near GM's proving grounds, we're now thinking this one is the Trax replacement and the other one was a GMC. For one, the thin row of LEDs looks remarkably similar to the 2019 Chevy Blazer's LED strip. The additional light slightly below that is similar to the Blazer as well, leading us to believe that the next Trax will have a Blazer-esque front end. At first glance, this vehicle looks slightly larger than today's Trax with a much brawnier shape than the current blob-like design. The rear roof cladding could be hiding the same sloped rear window with spoiler hangover we see on the Blazer. Circling back to the other small GM crossover we caught testing, this one doesn't have those Blazer elements. The curved windshield and sloping roof are like those of the GMC Terrain, as are the horizontal grille bars. By contrast, the above car has a straighter windshield and a roof shaped more like the Blazer. One element that does seem to diverge from the new Blazer are the taillights, but they don't exactly look production-ready anyway. If we're right about this being the next Trax (and we're pretty sure we are) then this looks to be a more distinctive vehicle than what it will replace. The mirrors have left their awkward spot on the doors, and it's shaping up to be a much sportier looking crossover as a whole. This vehicle will most likely end up being a 2020 model year car, and if so, we would expect to see undisguised photos of both it and the assumed GMC version next year. First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild
Tue, 12 Feb 2013This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.
