This is a fresh build, 1967 Chevy Nova Pro Street Drag Car that was being built for the strip and the street. I'm helping to sell for a friend who is presently going through a divorce. The car is located in Yucaipa, CA, covered in her garage. She really can't tell me much of the technical aspects, and I personally race Fords, but recognize quite a bit regarding this build. It has a full cage, including a funny car hoop, and appears to be excellent work. The back half is a 12 bolt Chevy differential (unsure of gear ratio), ladder bar coil-over QA1 shocks. Also has anti-roll device. The rear wing is Ed Quay, and parachute is Deist. The car is straight and rust free. Has stock windshield, but all other windows including the back window are Plexi-Glass. The car comes with wheelie bars (not pictured). Has M/T 14x32-15 on the rear, and 26x4.5-15 M/T front runners. It has rack & pinion steering with what appear to be Chevrolet front disc brakes. The rear deck lid is original metal and is mounted on original hinges. I believe the front and rear motor plates are for a Chevy small block, but she couldn't tell me with any certainty, and they aren't talking (LOL). There are quite a few extra parts that come with the car, including a Griffin aluminum radiator, B&M Ratchet Shifter, the original tail light assemblies, etc. The car is mostly done, needs wiring, ignition, sheet metal interior over the back-half, etc. The body is nice and straight and ready for the paint job of your choosing. She wants 12K for what you see, plus some things that you can't see. Or, a reasonable offer close to that number. Contact me, Dennis at 949 735-6088 if you have any questions. Will not deliver, so please arrange your own transportation company. Thanks.

Former Fisker CEO has some advice for Tesla Motors
Wed, Oct 22 2014Former Fisker Automotive CEO and ex-Chevrolet Volt vehicle-line director Tony Posawatz has some words of caution for Tesla Motors. The long-time automaker executive questions the California automaker's long-term viability – and gives some praise – in a talk with Benzinga, which you can listen to below. While the all-wheel-drive D that Tesla unveiled earlier this month in Southern California wowed a packed crowd, Posawatz (starting at around minute 4:45 in the interview) says Tesla would've been better off taking the resources it expended toward that Model S upgrade and directed them towards speeding up the development of a more affordable plug-in. Perhaps a number of investors agreed, since the company's stock fell the day after the D was announced. Posawatz says Tesla has been over-reliant on the sale of ZEV credits. Posawatz also says that Tesla has been over-reliant on the sale of zero-emissions vehicle credits in California for its earnings and questions whether the automaker will ever work at a large enough scale to sufficiently drive down costs and make consistent profits. Tesla CEO Elon Musk would take issue with this characterization. Posawatz first made his mark in the plug-in vehicle world when he was the vehicle-line director at General Motors for the Volt extended-range plug-in from 2006 to 2012. Later that year, he joined extended-range plug-in maker Fisker Automotive as its CEO, though quit that job during the summer of 2013 as the company was descending into insolvency. He joined the Electrification Coalition this past March. News Source: Benzinga Green Chevrolet Fisker Tesla Electric PHEV Tony Posawatz
GM files to trademark name Badlands
Mon, Feb 23 2015If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon. Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.
