Up for auction is my fathers 1966 Chevy Nova Wagon , he passed away on December 4 and up until then this was his daily driver . This car will be listed one time only so please bid serious on this car as this is the only chance to purchase on ebay, clear title ready for transfer , current texas tags ,The car is not a show car ,  it has some wear and tear as would any daily driver .

Drivetrain= 230 inline six , 2 speed powerglide, rebuilt several years back , later model one barrel carb with electric choke , pertronix ignition, Vintage Air a/c and heat unit made for the car and installed with factory controls , power steering, car runs well, shifts good ,  and sounds good , car stops well and retains manual drum brakes , and the a/c blows cold and the heat blows hot , car can be driven any where as it is a tried and true driver

Interior= redone seats and door panels in tweed , carpet has been redone , but drivers side could use some cleaning , headliner is in good shape , but the sunvisors could use some work as the seam are splitting , dash is in good shape , has a aftermarket pioneer cd/aux usb player with a kit  installed nicely in dash no butchering, has aftermarket kick panels formed with 6.5 pioneers and 6x9s in boxes in the back with a spare tire well amplifier , as said before the vintage air kit is made for the car and all fits nice and the controls all work as they should , the dash pad is nice but it did have a hula girl on the middle and there is some Velcro and discoloration, Gas gauge works a little weird , some times it reads correct but others it is off, has small aftermarket aux gauges for temp , oil and amp,  re pop gm steering wheel , all in all the inside is nice , just needs some cleaning

Exterior= car was painted many years back and shows its age a little , looks great from a few feet away and turns heads every wear  , metallic orange and tan , rear handles have been shaved , but open from the inside , paint has chips and rust is bubbling slightly around the drip rail and at the lower part of the rear gate and a little on one back door  . All windows work well , the power rear window is a little slow but still works , car is running polished torq thrusts all around and the tires still have lots of good tread . bumpers are straight and the chrome shines well but they are not perfect , grille is nice and the side trim is decent and all intact

All in all this car is a great car to get in and just drive , drive everyday and to the car show on a weekend , you could fly in and drive this car home . This is not a $20000.00 car , please don't expect one ,reserve is set low and I think the buy it know is a heck of deal , there is way more in it than that . I urge any one to come down and take a look at it . Is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction. buyer is responsible for all shipping and a $500.00 non refundable deposit is required within 24hrs of the auction close, rest to be paid no later than 7 days later , I can store this car for up to 2 weeks after end of auction for some one to arrange for transport. thank you for looking

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.

What car should James Robertson buy to drive his famous 21-mile commute?

Thu, Feb 5 2015

The Internet has been abuzz this week with the story of Detroit resident James Robertson, the 56-year-old factory worker who has walked some 21 miles to work for the last 10 years. The Detroit Free Press brought Robertson's story to the fore, helping an online fundraising campaign to generate more than $275,000 (as of this writing). The original goal was just $5,000, or about enough to replace the used Honda that died on Robertson back in 2005, and left him walking. So, newly flush with funds, what's the perfect car for Robertson to buy? Let's look at the specifics of his situation, and try to pick out the best options. Here's what we know: Robertson's commute is (famously) 21 miles; he lives in downtown Detroit (for now) and seems pretty humble, so something very flashy is probably out; former Honda aside, his ties to the city (and statements about being a Ford fan) seem to indicate a Detroit Three company product is best; he's a single guy with a girlfriend; he's got to deal with Michigan weather, and the sometimes fickle snow removal processes in The D. Here are some choices: Ford F-150 Robertson is on record as being a Taurus fan, and after a decade of walking I've no doubt that the big sedan would offer a cozy respite. Still, as a car guy and a student of the industry, I'd have a hard time recommending a sedan so clearly in need of replacement. Especially when The Blue Oval has such great stuff within the rest of its roster. The 2015 F-150 seems almost perfect for Robertson. Opting for either of the new EcoBoost V6 engines should help keep fuel bills in reasonable check, while healthy ride height and four-wheel drive will get him to work on time even during the snowiest of snow days. Better still, with a fat options sheet and car-like ride quality, Robertson can have just about every amenity he might want, in a package that won't disrespect his blue-collar roots. Chevrolet Colorado You guys saw this one coming, right? The smaller footprint of the midsize Chevy pickup, relative to some of the other options here, should be an advantage for urban parking and driving. And again, 4x4 is an option for the nasty weather, the running costs should stay pretty low and there aren't many tech/luxury features that can't be had in-cabin. I'd go ahead and splash out on the Crew Cab bodystyle, too, just in case Robertson feels like starting a carpool.
