1965 CHEVY NOVA HARDTOP
THIS IS A GREAT START FOR SOMEONE LOOKIG TO BUILD A NICE PRO STREET CAR. I DID NOT DO ANY WORK TO THIS VEHICLE HOWEVER THE PRIOR OWNER ASSURED ME THAT THE MOTOR DOES RUN. HE SOLD THE CARBURETOR AND REMOVED THE STARTER AFTER HE INSTALLED THE BACK HALF. HE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO PUT A LARGE MOTOR INTO IT HOWEVER THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. IT HAS A CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE AND HE STATED THAT IT IS CURRENT ON THE NON OP. I HAVE INCLUDED SEVERAL PHOTOS OF THE CAR AND THE EXTRA PARTS.
1) BRAND NEW MICKEY THOPMSON TIRES -SPORTSMAN
2) DISC BRAKE CONVERSION KIT FOR THE FRONT END
3) NEW WIRING HARNESS FOR THIS CAR
4) SEAT BELTS
AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES THE CAR NEEDS SHEETMETAL WORK AND OTHER ITEMS BEFORE COMPLETION. THE MOTOR IS A 350 WITH EDELBROCK INTAKES, CAMEL BACK HEAD, MALLORY DISTRIBUTOR AND HOOKER HEADERS. IT HAS A NICE ALUMINUM RADIATOR. THE TRANS IS A TURBO 350 TRANS. IT DOES NOT HAVE A DRIVE SHAFT IN IT. THE REAR END IS A NARROWED 9 INCH WITH STRANGE AXLES. BODY IS IN DECENT SHAPE BUT IT WOULD NEED ATTENTION IF YOU WERE GOING TO PUT A HIGH DOLLAR PAINT JOB ON IT. IT HAS SOME RUST SPOTS ON THE A PILLAR ON THE DRIVER SIDE AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTO. IT HAS THE HOOD EMBLEM FOR IT. IT HAS A TACH ON THE DASH AND A B&M FLOOR SHIFTER. THE REAR END IS FOUR LINKED WITH COIL OVERS AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN ON THE STREET SINCE THE INSTALLATION. TIRES ON THE REAR ARE SHOT BUT THEY DO HOLD AIR. PLEASE ASK SPECIFIC QUESTIONS AND I WILL SEND PHOTOS. I WELCOME PEOPLE TO VIEW THE CAR IN PERSON.

Autoblog fan favorite car ads from Super Bowl XLIX
Mon, Feb 2 2015Super Bowl XLIX is in the books, and the New England Patriots emerged victorious. Of course, if you're like us, the big game wasn't so much about the battle between the east coast and west, so much as a fight between the world's automotive advertisers. We collected and collated all of last night's new ads and put them together for you to vote on. And yes, we're limiting this year's contest to last night's new features. That's why you aren't seeing Dodge's epic Wisdom among our collection of commercials, and it's a similar story with Chevrolet's Truck Guy Focus Group series, which highlights the new Colorado. You can still vote for your favorites. We won't be closing the voting on our Super Bowl page, so while the winners and losers are correct as of this writing, it's entirely possible that there could be some changes in the rankings as time goes on. So, without any further ado, here are the winning ads based on your voting. Nissan: With Dad Fiat: Ready For Action Jeep: Beautiful Lands BMW: Newfangled Idea Mercedes-Benz: Fable NASCAR: America Start Your Engines As for those ads that failed to impact you, loyal readers, Toyota was the absolute, undisputed loser. The Japanese brand ran four ads in total – two for Toyota and two for Lexus – and all of them have negative tallies as of this writing. Lexus' Make Some Noise and Lets Play and Toyota's One Bold Choice and My Bold Dad both had very weak showings among the commercials that aired, although they weren't alone. Neither Mazda nor Kia scored particularly well, despite featuring celebrity magic act Penn and Teller and former James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, respectively. Chevrolet was the winner of the losers, as of our writing, recording the fewest downvotes for its audience-punking The Big Game ad. If you want to take a second look at the losing ads, you can head back to our Super Bowl page for the complete collection. But for now, head into Comments and let us know what you think of the results.
Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
GM recalls 8,500 Chevrolet Malibu models for rear suspension glitch
Mon, 04 Feb 2013According to a letter from General Motors to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, flaws in the build process of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu have led to the recall of 8,519 cars. Units built between December 6, 2011 and January 15, 2013 may have been assembled with rear suspension cradles that had insufficient torque applied to certain bolts. That out-of-spec assembly could lead to issues ranging from slight noises to a loss of vehicle control.
The problem was first noticed in December of last year by a GM test fleet driver and eventually tracked back to the improperly torqued bolts on the suspension cradle assembled through July 2012 by a supplier located not too far from the Malibu's Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Since an official NHTSA recall notice has not been issued yet, it isn't clear whether or not Detroit-built Malibus were the only ones affected (the 2013 Malibu is also built at GM's Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas). Dealers will fix the problem by inspecting vehicles for proper torque specs, retightening if not within specs and, in some cases, perform a rear-wheel alignment.
