All Original Classic 1975 Monte Carlo on 2040-cars
Aurora, Illinois, United States
ORIGINAL CLASSIC 1975 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO Offered for sale is a very nice 1975 Monte Carlo. For a 38 year old car this classic has been well cared for and is in very nice condition. Mechanically sound and runs like a champ. Even after sitting several days all you do is push the pedal to the floor once and turn the key and she starts right up. She's garage kept and treated well. Never driven in rain or snow. A complete tune up was performed less than 2500 miles ago. I have a mechanic who is a classic car specialist (he owns several himself) and is the only person that I allow to work on my cars. Interior condition is very nice. Both driver and passenger seats swival as they should. All lights work, the AM 8 track radio works (it's a blast buying 8 tracks on Ebay). The clock works and keeps accurate time. The only thing not working is the cruise control. I do not know what's wrong with it and haven't looked into getting it reparied. There is a very small area on the dash by the speaker that I had reparied where there was a small crack. The color coded factory floor mats are also in excellent condition. Exterior...well as you can see from the pictures is overall very nice. The paint shines, the vinyl roof is in very nice condition. Again, this is a 38 year old car, it's not 100% perfect, but I would definitely say it's a solid 95-96%. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Simply put this is a very well cared for 1975 Monte Carlo. Car is sold as is, where is, and it is the responsibility of the buyer to remove the car in a timely fashion. $1000.00 deposit required within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment within 7 days. When funds are in hand or cleared from your institution then car will be released. If you are not serious about purchasing please don't bid. |

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon
Sat, Jun 20 2015MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
