1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau - Mint Condition - "training Day" Tribute on 2040-cars
Harleysville, Pennsylvania, United States
Fuzzy Dice Autos Has up for auction a very
rare, mint condition 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau “Training Day” tribute
car! This was a one-owner,
always garage kept car with only 80k original miles. The car was born blue in
color then recently underwent a total color change to jet black. Brand new
interior and headliner top off its total restoration. The undercarriage is as
nice as the rest of the car. Photos of the undercarriage are available upon
request. The original 305 motor was
also swapped out and replaced with a fresh GM 350, 330 HP that’s built to LT1
specs. She’s also equipped with a new Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission and a
new 3:73 Eaton Posi-Traction. The factory A/C blows cold
and the original AM/FM radio and clock work to perfection. All the gauges and
other equipment function perfectly. This car looks and
performs like brand new. The car sounds nasty and runs fast, shifts smooth and
drives straight! There is absolutely
nothing whatsoever negative to report. It is no doubt the nicest 78’ Monte you
will find anywhere. Being the first year of
the new body style, this vintage Monte Carlo is becoming harder and harder to
find. So if you are so inclined
to want to own a “like new” 78’ Monte Carlo Landau in show condition, then your
search is over. Unlike other classic car
dealers who photoshop their pictures and omit the ugly stuff, we at Fuzzy Dice
take our photos on our lot using only a point and shoot camera, So what you see
is what you get, and what you’re getting with this car is mere perfection. Please don’t hesitate to
contact us if you require additional information or photographs. Best of luck bidding! |

Automakers score 8 out of top 20 most-watched ads on YouTube [w/videos]
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Who would have ever thought there'd be a day where people are able to skip television commercials only to go to websites to watch them later? Such is the joy of a DVR and YouTube. AdWeek tabulated the 20 most-watched ads on YouTube, and found that nine were car-related including eight coming from automakers.
Volkswagen continued its Star Wars theme with two ads in the top 20, including the highest-ranking car commercial The Bark Side spot at number three with almost 18 million views, which doesn't even have a single car in it. Some of our favorites are from Chrysler with Clint Eastwood in It's Halftime in America and House Arrest with Charlie Sheen for the Fiat 500 Abarth. Chevrolet, Honda, Audi and Toyota were the other automakers in the top 20, but we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention one of the coolest ads on the list, the Hot Wheels corkscrew jump.
Of all the car videos, only the Fiat ad wasn't played during a Super Bowl. Check out all eight videos - in order - after the jump. Nike took the top spot with its My Time is Now ad that has been seen online more than 20 million times with Pepsi's Uncle Drew posted up in the runner-up; some of the other videos include four Old Spice commercials and an ad in which Snoop Dogg is pedaling Hot Pockets.
Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels
Thu, 24 Jan 2013The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
Suzuki recalls 2 million cars globally
Wed, Apr 22 2015Suzuki is recalling two million vehicles across the globe, including a number of Chevrolet Cruze sedans that it builds for General Motors, because the ignition switches may begin to smoke. None of the Cruzes being recalled were sold in the US, though. This recall is limited to the Japanese, European and Australian markets. In Suzuki's home market, 1,873,000 vehicles are being recalled, including the Cruze and a number kei cars built for Mazda (the Carol and AZ-Wagon), as well as the automaker's own Alto, Wagon R and Swift. Affected vehicles were built between 1998 and 2009. The remaining 133,000 vehicles include Cruzes and other Suzuki products sold in Europe and Australia. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents due to the 67 reported incidents, all of which come from the Japanese market, a Suzuki spokesperson told Automotive News. Related Video:
