1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Street Rod on 2040-cars
Spring Hill, Florida, United States
Listed is my 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Street Rod. Very little left to do, just minor stuff like marker light bulbs and adjust headlights. It has always been garaged, never driven in the rain or in inclement weather. It is straight as an arrow and had to be with the black paint job. It has a 350 with a throttle body carburetion system, automatic transmission, not sure if it is a 350 or 400 turbo but it definitely has a shift kit. It is tubbed with a narrowed Chevy 10 bolt rear end. Paint and interior in great condition, this is ready for any car show or hometown cruise. New electric fuel pump and brakes. Lots of chrome on the motor and I have a new set of ceramic headers to replace the steel ones on it and a complete AC system from Classic Auto Air for it still in the box. Please feel free to contact me for more information regarding this First Generation Monte Carlo as I want anyone interested to be fully informed before the purchase. This car is for sale locally and could be pulled at any time. NO TRADES considered. Delivery is available for $3.00 a loaded mile if buyer and seller agree to terms. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required immediately upon end of auction and balance must be paid within 5 (five) days of auction close. Car must be picked up within 5 (five) days after close of auction or have made arrangement with seller for an extension of time. There is no warranty with this car either implied or expressed. So please ask questions and take a look.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.
Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]
Sun, 03 Feb 2013The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.
