2007 Chevrolet Malibu Lt Sedan 4-door 2.2l on 2040-cars
Mogadore, Ohio, United States
For sale is a super nice Chevrolet Malibu LT Sedan 4-Door with only 55,000 original miles! It is burgundy in color outside with a super clean black cloth interior. This is one sharp Malibu and gets excellent gas mileage. It has most power options except sunroof, including power windows & locks, cruise control, CD player and ice cold A/C. The car runs drives excellent with no known issues. It has the factory alloy wheels with tires that have at least 80% tread life remaining. The paint is is in excellent condition with no door dings or dents, and few very minor scratches on the front bumper. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer Malibu for sale! I am a small used car dealer, located in northeast Ohio, about 40 minutes south of Cleveland and 5 miles east of Akron. 44260 is the Zip if you are mapquesting. I encourage you to inspect the Malibu during normal business hours of course. Call my cell at (330) 221-7760 to set up an appointment to view the car or for any questions you have concerning the car. If you are the winning bidder and reside in Ohio, you have to pay the sales tax and $50.00 title fee upon picking up the vehicle. Out-of-state buyers will pay sales tax in the state in which you reside with no title fee of course. There are no hidden fees like doc or documentary fees, as I don't believe in them(this is just another way for dealers to make more profit and thus you pay the ebay fees for them!). SHIPPING IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER, however I will assist the shipper of your choice in any way I can. Autoshippers.com is a good source to check on shipping costs. I have tried to describe the vehicle as honestly as possible, and I don't believe the high bidder will be disappointed with the car. The Malibu's engine is the 2.2 4-cylinder. A $200.00 dollar non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction close, via Paypal or with a USPS money order sent overnite. GOOD LUCK BIDDING! Thanks. Tim.

The USPS needs 180,000 new delivery vehicles, automakers gearing up to bid
Wed, Feb 18 2015Winning the New York City Taxi of Tomorrow tender was a huge prize for Nissan, even though the company is still working through the process of claiming its prize. The United States Postal Service has begun the process to take bids for a new delivery vehicle to replace the all-too-familiar Grumman Long Life Vehicle, and that will be a much larger plum for the automaker who wins it, perhaps worth more than six billion dollars. The Grumman LLV is an aluminum body covering a Chevrolet S-10 pickup chassis and General Motors' Iron Duke four-cylinder engine. The USPS bought them from 1987 to 1994, and the 163,000 of them still in service are a monumental drain on postal resources: they get roughly ten miles to the gallon instead of the quoted 16 mpg, drink up more than $530 million in fuel each year, and their constant repair needs like the balky sliding door and leaky windshields have led the service to increase the annual maintenance budget from $100 million to $500 million. A seat belt is about as modern as it gets for safety technology, and the USPS says that assuming things stay the same, it can't afford to run them beyond 2017. Last year it put out two triage requests for proposals seeking 10,000 new chassis and drivetrains for the Grumman and 10,000 new vehicles. The LLV is also too small for the modern mail system in which package delivery is growing and letter delivery is declining. The service says it doesn't have a fixed idea of the ideal "next-generation delivery vehicles," but it listed a number of requirements in its initial request and is open to any proposal. Carriers have some suggestions, though, saying they want better cupholders, sun visors that they can stuff letters behind, a driver's compartment free of slits that can swallow mail, and a backup camera. The request for information sent to automakers pegs the tender at 180,000 vehicles that would cost between $25,000 and $35,000 apiece, and it will hold a conference on February 18 to answer questions about the contract. GM is the only domestic maker to avow an interest, while Ford and Fiat-Chrysler have remained cagey. Yet with a possible $6.3 billion up for grabs and some new vans for sale that would be advertised on every block in the country, we have a feeling everyone will be listening closely come February 18. We also have a feeling the LeMons series is going to be flooded with Grummans come 2017. News Source: Wall Street Journal, Automotive News - sub.
Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years
Fri, Feb 21 2014Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up. GM cutting production at two plants
Thu, Feb 26 2015General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though.
