I RECENTLY JUST INSTALLED BRAND NEW TIRES ALL AROUND. I PUT LARGE / WIDE BF GOODRICH TIRES 245'S IN THE REAR AND, SKINNIER FRONT TIRES ON BRAND NEW. THE TIRES WERE OVER $550.00
RECENTLY INSTALLED A BRAND NEW AUTOMETER GUAGE KIT. I JUST INSTALLED A STEERING COLUMN TACH AND A SMALL GUAGE CLUSTER ON THE RIGHT OF THE SPEEDO CLUSTER. ALSO INSTALLED AND NEW BRAKES COMPONENTS ALL AROUND, (CALIPERS, PADS, SHOES, WHEEL CYLINDERS, AND REAR DRUMS. NEW FUEL PUMP, NEW FOOT PEDAL RUBBERS. NEW FRONT AND REAR SHOCKS, CLEANED OUT RADIATOR AND DISSASEMBLED SHIFT MECHANISM AND LUBRICATED. ALL OF THIS WAS OVER $900.00
CAR HAS A SOLID FRAME NO ROT ON THE FRAME WHATSOEVER, ONLY RUST ON THE CAR IS THE REAR QUARTERS NEED REPAIR, AND THE BOTTOM OF THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HAS SOME RUST. THERE IS ALSO A SMALL HOLE BELOW THE DRIP RAIL. OEM CLUSTER DOES NOT WORK. OTHERWISE SHE IS A SWEET RIDE WAITING TO BE TURNED INTO A SLEEPER. ALL LIGHTS WORK, AND THE IT PASSES INSPECTION WITH OUT A PROBLEM.
THIS CAR IS JUST DYING TO BE TRANSFORMED INTO A HOT ROD, TAKE OUT THE FACTORY 6 CYLINDER AND THROW IN A MONSTER V8 /V10, WITH THAT IT WILL BE SICK, THIS CAR REALLY GIVES YOU SOMETHING TO WORK WITH, OR DRIVE IT LIKE IT IS A DAILY DRIVER.

Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
Former Fisker CEO has some advice for Tesla Motors
Wed, Oct 22 2014Former Fisker Automotive CEO and ex-Chevrolet Volt vehicle-line director Tony Posawatz has some words of caution for Tesla Motors. The long-time automaker executive questions the California automaker's long-term viability – and gives some praise – in a talk with Benzinga, which you can listen to below. While the all-wheel-drive D that Tesla unveiled earlier this month in Southern California wowed a packed crowd, Posawatz (starting at around minute 4:45 in the interview) says Tesla would've been better off taking the resources it expended toward that Model S upgrade and directed them towards speeding up the development of a more affordable plug-in. Perhaps a number of investors agreed, since the company's stock fell the day after the D was announced. Posawatz says Tesla has been over-reliant on the sale of ZEV credits. Posawatz also says that Tesla has been over-reliant on the sale of zero-emissions vehicle credits in California for its earnings and questions whether the automaker will ever work at a large enough scale to sufficiently drive down costs and make consistent profits. Tesla CEO Elon Musk would take issue with this characterization. Posawatz first made his mark in the plug-in vehicle world when he was the vehicle-line director at General Motors for the Volt extended-range plug-in from 2006 to 2012. Later that year, he joined extended-range plug-in maker Fisker Automotive as its CEO, though quit that job during the summer of 2013 as the company was descending into insolvency. GM learning from current Chevy Volt owners as it works on next-gen model
Tue, Sep 16 2014Details of the second-generation Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in hybrid are coming in at a trickle, and the latest is that the 2016 model-year Volt will be improved in all meaningful areas, including performance and all-electric range, says General Motors powertrain director Larry Nitz. 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Nitz was speaking to Autoline After Hours about the current and future Volt. He said that GM has been tracking Volt driving habits and found that about two-thirds of the Volts' collective miles are driven in electric mode, and that 81 percent of all Volt trips were done in pure EV mode. Additionally, Volt drivers plug the car in 10 times each week, on average. Nitz also said 82 percent of the Volt's commuting miles are coming from the plug instead of the gas tank. Oh, and 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Last month, GM released a teaser shot of the 2016 Volt (above) and said the car would make its worldwide debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show next January. Earlier this year, the Volt was reported to be getting a new chassis for the upcoming version. The Volt could use a bit of new life. Through August, Volt sales were down 12 percent from a year earlier to 13,146 units, and sales plunged 25 percent alone. That compares unfavorably to the Nissan Leaf battery-electric vehicle, whose 2014 sales have jumped 34 percent to almost 19,000 units.
