Gorgeous 1967 Chevelle Malibu 2 door hardtop. This is a frame off restoration completed within the last 3 years. All sheet metal no por 40 or shortcuts have been taken in this restoration. This Chevelle has a 327 motor with aluminum intake, aluminum radiator and Holley quick start carburetor making approx. 350 Horse. 10 bolt rear end that has recently been serviced and the gear oil has been replaced with royal purple synthetic oil. This car starts on the first attempt and runs and drives fantastic. I have recently put on Eibach sport springs and shocks, four wheel disc brakes from cpp with new master cylinder, 13 inch cross drilled and slotted rotors up front and 12 inch in the rear. This Chevelle also has a new set of American Classic wheels. This car handles and brakes like a new car and is definitely a car that you can get out and cruise in without any worries. This car is equipped with power steering and power brakes. The interior has been completely replaced and as you can see from the pictures the door panels, center console, seat backs and dash have been painted to match the car. In one of the pictures you can see a small rock chip on the driver side door, this is the only blemish that I can find with the paint. I also had the Chevelle hand pin stripped which really adds some great separation between the two tone paint job. This is an original A/C car and has the vents and lines in place which will save a huge expense if you choose to add A/C. This car has a very minor oil leak coming from the pan, by minor I mean a dime size drop over the course of a week, I know most of them leak but don't want the future owner to have any surprises. I have purchased a heavy duty gasket for the pan which will come with the purchase of the vehicle. As you can tell by the pictures the firewall, inner fenders, and brake booster have all been painted to match the exterior. This car is amazing in all ways and the new owner will not be disappointed in any way. I have tried to include everything but feel free to ask me any questions if I have not addressed all of your concerns.

Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war
Sun, 30 Dec 2012A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
China's rise, global restructuring wither GM's Korea division
Wed, Jan 7 2015An article in the Daily Kanban suggests the sun is setting on GM Korea, and it could already be well into dusk. GM Korea came about when General Motors, along with co-investors SAIC and Suzuki, bought Daewoo Motors from parent company Daewoo Group in 2001; it had a previous tie-up with GM, a joint venture that ended in 1992, although Daewoo cars were based on GM cars until 1996. Over the decade following the purchase, it became such an important part of operations that it was renamed GM Korea in 2011, "to reflect its heightened status in [the] global operations of GM." Just two years later, the printed rumors were that the subsidiary responsible for a fifth of Chevrolet's global production could be shutting down. The division's sales were down almost 21 percent through November of last year, counting domestic South Korean sales, exports, and CKD – Complete Knock Down – products. That makes the labor strife, already an issue for four years, even more acute, reports say the subsidiary will lose $36 million a year if it can't get the job and wage cuts it wants, and government concessions can't make up for the losses. And it gets worse, so head over to Daily Kanban to read the rest of the story.
GM tinkering with Silverado, Sierra model mix amidst strong early sales
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. That's a lesson that is currently being taught to General Motors, because despite a strong showing from its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the General's pickup sales still can't best those of cross-town rival Ford.
With 59,163 trucks moved, GM fell just over 1,000 units short of toppling Ford, and one of the main reasons for that, according to GM's chief sales analyst, was due to a lack of variety in the engines and body styles available on dealer lots. "We are still over-weighted toward crew-cab V8 trucks. Our light-duty mix will moderate over time as our launch progresses," said Kurt McNeil.
Loading dealers with the popular combination of the 5.3-liter V8 and the four-door, Crew Cab body style was intentional during the truck's launch, but as supplies of leftover 2013 models, which are being sold at heavy incentives, are beginning to wane, both budget-conscious and high-dollar buyers are looking elsewhere instead of at the volume model pickups.
