1972 Chevy Impala 2dr Coupe 55k Original Miles Great Shape, Needs Very Little! on 2040-cars
Kingston, New York, United States
I am very reluctantly selling my 1972 Chevy Impala that my brother and I
got a couple of years ago. This car is beautiful, fresh paint last
summer, has not been driven since just after the paint was done. Has
been off the road since then. Let me tell you a little about the car. It
has a 350 v8, 55,000 miles on it (approx), all original. When we bought
this, it was 100% original, we just had it painted to freshen it up
(light blue pearl with white pearl roof). The interior is in great shape
with a couple of exceptions. There is a tear in the in the driver seat
back rest, about 3" by 2". Also a small split in the driver seat. The
front and back dash boards were not in good shape, so we tore them out.
You will have to have those replaced. The tires are original from the
70s, so those will have to be replaced, but they are not cracking or
anything. The weatherstripping is not in great shape either. Other than
that, the car is in amazing condition. Like I said, it is almost 100%
original today. This was purchased from a guy that had bought it at an
estate sale about 25 yrs ago. The original owner had died and this guy
bought it and garaged it, never driving it for about 25 yrs. When we got
it, we drove it to Kingston from northern Vermont, no issues at all. We
had the liquids checked out and changed where necessary. We had a new
water pump installed, new tie rod on the front end, and a new paint job.
That was pretty much the extent of what needed to be done, aside from
the things that need to be fixed that I mentioned already. This is an
amazing car, but the times have forced us to sell. I will also include a
bunch of stereo equipment that we never installed, including speakers
(Alpine), a subwoofer (Cerwin Vega), and an alpine cd player. We are open to reasonable offers, but you're not going to find too many cars in this original condition. Car is being sold "as is". I have described it to the best of my ability, but remember that this is a 42 year old car. Hate to see it go, but don't have any more time to play with it.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia
Sun, 03 Feb 2013It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
