TH400 reverse manual valve body, straight cut planets, 10" 3500 stall converter. Lots of trick parts. 12 bolt, Moser spool, Moser C-Clip eliminators 5/8 studs Moser 33 spline axles Moser 4:11 gears. Boxed upper and lower control arms, 1350 u-joints, Electric cut outs with 3" exhaust.Aluminum radiator, electric fans, New drag radials on the back and moroso front runners on the front. I have the complete build sheet for the motor as well as dyno sheets for it. The car also has a 200 hp nitrous set up on the car that has not been used with this motor. Everything is fresh with no more than 500 miles on the whole package.
The interior is rough. It does have the 3rd seat and everything is there with the exception of the front door panels. I just never got around to that part of the car. The real value is the drivetrain and the cool factor. This car starts up right away and runs down the freeway no problem. Looking to move on to something different. There is a ton of money in this thing and a lot of cool pieces so I will not give it away. This is a great car to drag race, cruise or be a super sleeper. Quite possibly the fastest 1970 impala wagon on the planet. Just think. It could be yours.I can take any other pictures that you may be interested in. Feel free to call or text me at the # below with questions. Video of the car and the motor is available on youtube at "tsforbis" Tom 503-209-9442 On Sep-06-14 at 12:12:40 PDT, seller added the following information: New brakes and lines all around the car in the past 1000 miles along with rebuilt front suspension. NO RUST in the floor boards. The boxed arms have urethane mounts. Motor and transmission are mounted solid. I also have air shocks on the back. Separate fuel pump when the nitrous is on and the car has a Hitachi high torque Starter B&M 177 blower with two sets of pulleys to change boost. Adjustable timing retard in the car for The MSD box. Headers are thick flange big tube ceramic coated with 3 1/2" collectors. Rear drag radials are 295/65/15. It would cost you close to 25k just to duplicate this motor not to mention the transmission and rearend. This car was built as a fast street car and as such it is street legal and gets lots and lots of attention. 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*
Fri, 26 Apr 2013After months of speculation, Chevrolet has finally revealed the official starting price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible - pretty modest increases considering the upgrade in specifications. Of course, neither price accounts for the sort of dealer markup that might grace early C7 window stickers, especially since less than a third of all Chevrolet dealers will be allocated Corvette models to sell at the car's launch.
Now, these prices are for the base car, so if you're wondering how much a fully loaded Stingray will run, Chevy has given us a good indication of that as well. The coupe we saw on display at the Detroit Auto Show (shown above), for example, would run $73,360 including options such as the $2,800 Z51 Performance Package, $2,495 competition sport seats and the $1,795 Magnetic Ride Control option - just to name a few. Stepping up to the 3LT trim level that brings a full leather interior will run an extra $8,005 over the base price.
While $20,000 in options may seem like a lot, this "as-tested" price still has the C7 competitively priced against rival coupes like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R. Speaking of price comparisons, Chevrolet also points out that the C7 Stingray Z51 costs $2,200 less than the C6 Grand Sport while delivering better acceleration (0-60 mph in less than four seconds) and improved track performance (including more than 1 g in cornering).
Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels
Thu, 24 Jan 2013The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
