For auction is our 1969 Impala. Very, very nice car. It has a clear KY title in our name, and runs great. Very, very solid and low original miles. New crate motor 350, 4 bolt main 325 hp with 3 year warrenty only has 3000 miles on it. New everything, HEI dist, elder intake, holly dual line carb, moroso breather, aluminum fan, chrome and polished hooker headers and flowmaster exhaust. Car has new battery, JVC cd radio, cooper cobra raise white letter tires and much more. 15x7 rallies on the front and 15x8s on the rear. Beautiful interiour, seats look good, dash looks good, door panels are nice, steering wheel has no cracks, and headliner is perfect too. Trunk is nice, doors are nice, windows roll up and down nice, weather stripping is all real nice. I mean it's a very nice car. Really solid car. Was repainted original color of butternut yellow about 18 years ago and has a few spots starting to show (pictured). One spot with my finger is at the bottum of the passinger side fender. Probably a very easy fix, but it is a small rust spot. The other is at the very bottum of the driverside quarter where the exhaust tips come out behind the rear wheel (pictured). Its surface rust and an real easy fix. There is a line, a scratch, a little rock chip, but the car still looks very, very good. You really have to look for these places. They want even show up in a picture. The car is solid, runs great, drive anywhere, and is a real good looking car. It doesnt have the original motor, but it has a very, very nice new motor under warrenty with all paper work. The paint isnt perfect, but it's very presentable for 18 years old. The car looks all original, but the metal flake in the paint, cd player, triple gauges under dash, vette rallies on the back and custom carpet inside the trunk pictured. On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being best and perfect. I'd give this car a 7 to 8. It's not a show car, but wouldnt take much. It is a perfect cruise-in car and cruiser on cruise nite. It does demand and get respect, and is one real nice ride. Have over 15,000 invested. Vehicle is for sale locally for $12,500.00. So we reserve the right to end this auction at anytime unless serious offers have been made. Winning bidder/buyer is responsable for pick-up and delivery, so as is where is. If arrangements are made and the car is paid for in full. I may deliver the car to surrounding states for a fee of $2.00 a mile? A non-returnable deposit of $500.00 is due at auctions end through paypal. Full amount is due cash at time of vehicle pick-up. We'll try to answer all and every question you may have asap. Thank you and happy bidding.

GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.
Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles
Mon, May 13 2024It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
Zombie cars: A dozen discontinued vehicles people still buy new
Thu, Jan 6 2022Car models come and go, but as revealed by monthly sales data, once a car is discontinued, it doesn't just disappear instantly. And in the case of some models, vanishing into obscurity can be a slow, tedious process. That's the case with the 12 cars we have here. All of them have been discontinued, but car companies keep racking up "new" sales with them. There are actually more discontinued cars that are still registering new sales than what we decided to include here. We kept this list to the oldest or otherwise most interesting vehicles still being sold as new, including a supercar. We'll run the list in alphabetical order, starting with *drumroll* ... BMW 6 Series: 55 total sales BMW quietly removed the 6 Series from the U.S. market during the 2019 model year. It had been available in three configurations, a hardtop coupe, a convertible and a sleek four-door coupe-like shape. Â BMW i8: 18 total sales We've always had a soft spot for the BMW i8, despite the fact that it never quite fit into a particular category. It was sporty, but nowhere near as fast as similarly-priced competitors. It looked very high-tech and boasted a unique carbon fiber chassis design and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but wasn't really designed for maximum efficiency or maximum performance. Still, the in-betweener was very cool to look at and drive, and 18 buyers took one home over the course of 2021. Â Chevy Impala: 750 total sales The Impala represented classic American tastes at a time when American tastes were shifting away from soft-riding sedans with big interior room and trunk space and into higher-riding crossovers. A total of 750 sales were inked last year. Â Chrysler 200: 15 total sales The Chrysler 200 was actually a pretty nice sedan, with good looks and decent driving dynamics let down by a lack of roominess, particularly in the back seat. Of course, as we said regarding the Chevy Impala, the number of Americans in the market for sedans is rapidly winding down, and other automakers are following Chrysler's footsteps in canceling their slow-selling four-doors. Even if Chrysler never really found its footing in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan segment, apparently dealerships have a few leftover 2017 200s floating around. And for some reason, 15 buyers decided to sign the dotted line to take one of these aging sedans home last year.
