1967 Chevrolet Impala 2 door hardtop. I got this car from a friend of mine he traded it to me on a Chevelle I had. He bought this car from a farmer who had owned the car for over 20 years. This is a real Big Block 396 Turbo 400 automatic car with a 12 bolt rear end. The serial number is on the engine block. This car has no power steering or brakes but was ordered with a/c. The air is not plugged up but is complete. Talk about a rare option car, the protecto plate and owners manual are with it. My friend tuned the car up put a fresh set of tires on it installed a brand new edelbrock carburator and he also put a inline fuel filter. He never pulled the gas tank and cleaned it out it does hesitate when you stomp the accelerator like its cold natured. It also has a exhaust leak sounds like a donut ot exhaust manifold to me. I drove the car home 25 miles and it runs and drives great, Very tight and solid car. I know the radio doesnt work and the gas gauge doesnt read right. The floors and trunk are very solid the body has small bubbles i tried to show them the trunklid does have some rust. Little rust on hood edge hid by the chrome dont get me wrong this is a good car to work with I know first hand what most 45 year old cars look like. It has been painted before but you can read the numbers on the trunk lips nicely. Some of the chrome is peeling the driver outside mirror is broke. The interior is nice has a tear in the headliner and the package tray is bad top of back seat is dry. Nice dash even the glovebox lite and dome lites work. Remember this is no 283 car this is a real big block matching number car that you can drive and improve as is or restore and have a very high dollar car. Please only serious bidders no 0 feedback or negative bidders allowed. Ive set the reserve for less then what I have in it. You can call or text Billy 270-564-3996 if your a real buyer. I want a 250 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auctions end and the balance within 7 days of auctions end. Im very strict on this. If you pay for the car with a cashiers check the car will stay here till it clears. I have inside storage and will work withn you or your shipper as long as car is paid for. Ive sold every car ive listed I try to be fair but im sure ive missed something dont be scared to ask. Yes this car is being sold as/is it is a 46 year old car.

GM recalls 200k Hummer H3s for fire risk
Thu, Jul 9 2015An issue with fires erupting in some Hummers has prompted General Motors and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall for nearly 200,000 vehicles around the world. The bulk of them are in the United States. According to the first statement (below) obtained by Autoblog from GM, the issue stems from the HVAC system in Hummer H3 models. The connector module for the blower motor has, in certain cases, overheated, melted the surrounding plastic, and started a fire. 42 such cases have been reported, including three instances of occupants citing minor burns. GM confirms that two of those three cases lead to the vehicle being destroyed in the fire, but states that no crashes or fatalities have resulted. The issue affects 196,379 examples of the 2006-10 H3 wagon and the 2009-10 H3T pickup, with 164,993 estimated to be in the United States. In order to fix the issue, dealers are being instructed to replace the relevant parts of the connector and harness. In a second, unrelated campaign, GM is also calling in 50,731 Chevy Spark and Sonic small cars – 45,785 of them in the US – due to a software glitch. In those affected vehicles fitted with the base radio and OnStar system, the audio system may not be able to switch out of turn-by-turn direction mode, causing the display to go blank and all sound to mute – including key safety warnings. In addition, the system may not switch off, draining the battery. GM states that no crashes, injuries, or fatalities have resulted from this issue, and all that dealers will need to do in this case is reflash the software. Related Video: General Motors is recalling 164,993 2006-2010 model year HUMMER H3 and 2009-2010 model year HUMMER H3T models in the U.S. In certain vehicles, the connector module that controls the blower motor speed in the heat/vent/air conditioning (HVAC) system may overheat under extended periods of operation at high- and medium-high speeds. The heat could melt the plastic surrounding the connector module, increasing the risk of a fire. Dealers will replace the affected portion of the connector and harness. GM is aware of three reported minor burns and 42 fires but no crashes or fatalities related to this condition. Including Canada, Mexico and exports, the total recall population is 196,379. ### General Motors is recalling 45,785 2014-2015 model year Chevrolet Sparks, and 2015 model year Chevrolet Sonics in the U.S.
GM says hybrid Corvette no laughing matter [w/poll]
Fri, 30 Aug 2013When Mark Reuss was in LA recently, he sat down to have a few words with the scribes at the Los Angeles Times. When the issue of a hybrid Corvette came up, Reuss answered with "Don't laugh." The General Motors president is a complete fan of the possibility, calling it "attractive" and "really fun," believing it would improve GM expertise and that "people would love it."
Naturally, the president being supportive of an idea doesn't give indication that a hybrid Corvette is on the way. However, with supercars like the Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari giving hybrid tech a solid, if remote, place in the performance car world, the inexorable trickle-down of technology means we shouldn't be surprised if and when it does happen.
And now that we have that non-negative half-answer to a speculative question, it would be irresponsible for us not to commence rumormilling for the C8 Corvette. Taking Reuss at his word, the C8 will obviously be a hybrid with all-wheel-drive - the left side wheels driven with electric motors, the right side with the mid-mounted, four-cylinder diesel engine. With coefficient of drag of just .16, figure on a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour time of under 2 seconds and an all-electric range of something like 30 miles at top speed. Don't forget, folks, you read it here first.
Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.
