1966 Chevrolet Impala 2dr cpe. this car was originally from North Carolina and still has a clean, transferable North Carolina title. This is a project car. there is no engine. the 2 speed powerglide transmission is still with the car as well as the transmission crossmember, driveshaft and 10 bolt rear end. the radiator, ps pump, cooling fan, most of the a/c components are also still with the car. there is no windshield but the rest of the glass is intact. trim and tail lights have been removed but are included. bumpers and grille are decent. interior needs a carpet and headliner. front and back seats need repair/recover. overall the body is decent. some rust on left door and rt front fender lower heel. rear package tray area is also rusty. deckilid has rust on the bottom lip. floors have surface rust and a few small holes. trunck has surface rust and a few small holes. frame is solid. sold as is. impala is for sale locally so auction could end at anytime. more pictures/details available. local delivery available for a reasonable fee. Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.
Chevy working on production Impala Midnight Edition
Sat, Dec 13 2014To put together the Impala Blackout concept for SEMA, Chevrolet didn't need to go much further than its accessories catalog. The in-house connection is what could make it possible for Chevy to get a production version of the Blackout into dealers this model year, with its few bits of chrome trim and dark detailing on the 19-inch aluminum wheels set into an abyss of gloss black paint, black Bowtie, grille surround, rear spoiler and mirror caps. The interior is black leather, with stainless steel for the sill plates and pedals, and an 11-speaker Bose audio system, and it gets the optional 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6. The brand's marketing director for cars and crossovers, Steve Majoros, told Edmunds that it could come in late spring, and that it will be called "Midnight Edition." Majoros didn't give any indication of pricing or if the production car will be spec'd out like the concept. If you simply don't want to wait for late spring, you could work your DIY mojo by putting one together the same way Chevrolet did: give the accessories catalog a workout. Related Video:
