This is the real deal! It's not a clone, tribute or wanna be. Assembled in Norwood, Ohio this car has all the parts
that it was born with. One of approximately 200 full size passenger cars with the rare engine and drive train
option. At 72 years old, I am reducing my collection and am willing to part with this Willow Green Super Sport
which I've owned for many years. The car is totally original with the exception of a quality repaint about 10 years
ago. Photos will reveal the original rally steering wheel with age cracks and one can view the nick on the front
left fender. I've driven this car many miles to both shows and tours. It does not overheat even on the hottest
Florida days. The mileage is original and it has been stored in climate controlled environment when not used. The
carpets are original as are the old style rubber floor mats. The engine compartment is correct from the air cleaner
to the exhaust manifolds with the thick core radiator, four bolt main block, mechanical lifters, factory aluminum
hi rise intake, 780 dual feed Holley, etc. The car's battery is a correct reproduction as are the biased belt,
optional but required, 8.25 X 14" tires. There are no known defects and I would drive the car across country! The
underside is all original with the correct exhaust exiting behind the rear tires and the factory hi-po sway bar is
correct for this engine option. I encourage all interested parties to view the car in person or have your
representative view it for you. This is not a 'trailer queen' but an all original, adult owned car, maintained to
be both driven and enjoyed. Don't look for aftermarket headers, HEI ignition, or loud exhaust exiting under the
rear bumper as it is fully factory correct! The factory options are listed on the reproduction window sticker. The
fixed mast antenna is unscrewed and inside the car as it hits my ceiling when the car resides on the lift. It is
correct for the RPO U69 AM-FM radio. The clock, on the dash is also correct. It was placed there when the dash
space was used by the factory tach. The clock part number is: 986473. Please, no low offers; the car is exactly
what you see! All body panels are original to the car and no rust is evident in any of the sheetmetal. If it
doesn't sell, it will be offered at the Daytona Turkey Rod run at the end of this month.

GM isn't liable for punitive damages in ignition switch cases
Wed, Nov 20 2019NEW YORK — A federal appeals court said General Motors is not liable for punitive damages over accidents that occurred after its 2009 bankruptcy and involved vehicles it produced earlier, including vehicles with faulty ignition switches. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan said on Tuesday that the automaker did not agree to contractually assume liability for punitive damages as part of its federally-backed Chapter 11 reorganization. GM filed for bankruptcy in June 2009, and its best assets were transferred to a new Detroit-based company with the same name. The other assets and many liabilities stayed with "Old GM," which is also known as Motors Liquidation Co. Tuesday's 3-0 decision may help GM reduce its ultimate exposure in nationwide litigation over defective ignition switches in several Chevrolet, Pontiac and Saturn models. It is also a defeat for drivers involved in post-bankruptcy accidents, including those who collided with older GM vehicles driven by others, as well as their law firms. The ignition switch defect could cause engine stalls and keep airbags from deploying, and has been linked to 124 deaths. A lawyer for the drivers and their law firms did not immediately respond to requests for comment. GM had no comment. Circuit Judge Dennis Jacobs said GM's agreement to acquire assets "free and clear" of most liabilities excused it from punitive damages claims for Old GM's conduct. He also noted that the judge who oversaw the bankruptcy concluded that the new company could not be liable for claims that the "deeply insolvent" Old GM would never have paid. The decision upheld a May 2018 ruling by U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman in Manhattan, who oversees the ignition switch litigation. Drivers have sought a variety of damages in that litigation, including for declining resale values. GM has recalled more than 2.6 million vehicles since 2014 over ignition switch problems. It has also paid more than $2.6 billion in related penalties and settlements, including $900 million to settle a U.S. Department of Justice criminal case. 2016 Chevy Volt will not need premium gas
Wed, Oct 29 2014Buried in the new technical details of the 2016 Chevy Volt released yesterday was a throwaway line about a small but important change that's due to the new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The first-gen Volt has always required premium gas but the new powerplant will be happy burning plain old regular. The Volt's chief engineer, Andrew Farah, told AutoblogGreen that the change was due to today's Volt owners explaining they were not happy paying for top-shelf petroleum. "The ability to use regular unleaded was based directly on customer feedback," he said. "Since the range extender is an all-new engine, it was optimized to use regular unleaded at the outset. Using regular fuel will not have effect on vehicle acceleration or other performance factors." As Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification, told AutoblogGreen yesterday, the new engine is more powerful and quieter than the outgoing 1.4-liter engine that's used in the current Volt. Fuel economy and EV range specs for the next-gen Volt are not expected until the full car is revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
