For sale i got an clean original California Car 1965 Chevy Impala SS Super Sport with Air Conditioning built at the Los Angeles plant. Car has AC, power steering, power brakes. This car is in excellent shape inside and out, paint is exceptional, and body is laser straight, original 327 and rebuilt powerglide that was rebuilt has had some chrome goodies added to it with a serpentine belt setup and brand new AC compressor. Car has some Rally wheels on it with brand new tires. Interior looks brand new and is amazing condition, has had a newer style radio installed with AM FM and plug spot for your MP3 player and ipod. Everything on this car works all the interior lights, turn signals, dash guages, headlights. The bumpers have been all rechromed, all the trim is brand new on this car. Undercarriage is super clean and 100% rust free no rust ANYWHERE on this car. Car is being sold As-Is with no warranty and is the buyers responsibilty to check car prior to bidding. Car is Located in Los Angeles and has a clean title. Corvette Z06 and Viper TA square off at the strip
Wed, Jan 21 2015There are many long-standing grudge matches among automobiles: 911 vs GT-R, Mustang vs Camaro, Ferrari vs Lamborghini... but as far as high-end American metal goes, it doesn't get much more legendary than Viper vs 'Vette. So after Chevy released the new Corvette Z06, we knew it was only a matter of time before it would have to square off against the Viper TA. And what better place to pit these two parallel pillars of American performance than on the drag strip? Fortunately that's just what we have here. In one corner, the 2014 Dodge Viper TA, with its 8.4-liter V10 pumping out 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. In the other, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the supercharger on its 6.2-liter V8 more than making up for the discrepancy in displacement and cylinder count to produce 650 hp and just as much torque. Carlos Lago from Motor Trend is here to break it all down. 60 miles per hour? 3.2 seconds. 60 to 0? 91 feet. Lateral acceleration? A staggering 1.16g, a figure that is the highest MT has ever recorded for a vehicle that isn't a race car. It's an utterly astonishing piece of work, this Z06, and just when you think it can't possibly get any more impressive, Randy Pobst hustles an auto-equipped Z06 around Road Atlanta in just 1:30. Hot air balloons caught in high winds drag fullsize SUV
Mon, Jul 20 2015A sudden storm front whipped up enough wind to send some hot air balloons flying into the air in Wisconsin over the weekend. One ballon proved so energetic that it was able to drag a fullsize SUV across a field and into a stand of tents. The freak accident occurred at Balloonfest in Waterford, Wisconsin. Spectators were horrified as balloons dragged handlers to the ground and launched with terrified pilots clinging to their baskets. Organizers had started packing up the colorful balloons due to ominous storm clouds when the wind kicked up. "Happened just like that; it was crazy," Nathan Fricke, crew member, told Fox 6. Winds were clocked at 40 to 50 miles per hour. A balloon caught in the wind dragged a large SUV (we think a Suburban or Yukon XL) hundreds of feet and into a cluster of tents on the edge of the staging area where balloons were on display for festival goers.
