This is a 1964 Impala SS. It is pretty much for parts or if somebody wants a real project car. It is rotted in all the usual spots. The trunk floor was cut out by the tail pan, I think somebody was going to repair it and lost interest in it. Under the trunk lid and the lower fenders and quarters also have thier issues. The floors and frame seem pretty solid. The past owner told me that it was an original 409 car. I don't know enough about them to say it is. I bought a 64 impala SS convertible from a customer to restore and he included a bunch of parts and the car with the deal. The car has a 409 in it which he said came from this car. It has a posi rear and a rear sway bar that seems a little larger than the one in my convertible. If somebody wants to restore this car I do have some parts that I can provide for a very reasonable price. Thanks for looking. Buyer is responsible for the shipping.

Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years

Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up. Chevy working on production Impala Midnight Edition

To put together the Impala Blackout concept for SEMA, Chevrolet didn't need to go much further than its accessories catalog. The in-house connection is what could make it possible for Chevy to get a production version of the Blackout into dealers this model year, with its few bits of chrome trim and dark detailing on the 19-inch aluminum wheels set into an abyss of gloss black paint, black Bowtie, grille surround, rear spoiler and mirror caps. The interior is black leather, with stainless steel for the sill plates and pedals, and an 11-speaker Bose audio system, and it gets the optional 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6. The brand's marketing director for cars and crossovers, Steve Majoros, told Edmunds that it could come in late spring, and that it will be called "Midnight Edition." Majoros didn't give any indication of pricing or if the production car will be spec'd out like the concept. If you simply don't want to wait for late spring, you could work your DIY mojo by putting one together the same way Chevrolet did: give the accessories catalog a workout. Related Video:
