1964 Chevy Impala. Car is rust free and very good body. Motor is a mostly stock 350 with auto trans. When the motor ran last, it was very dependable. Trans shifts good, this car has not been driven since 2008, the battery is dead. It has hydraulics, it's a two pump system with 8 switches, all worked when parked in 2008. All trunk batteries are dead as well. Car was built well, it has a fuel cell, good clean radiator, very durable mid shaft bearing, a professional built slip joint rear drive shaft. Tires have less than a few thousand miles. Front suspension has shocks mounted for a better ride. Frame has been reinforced.
Car is a lot of fun and the color is wild and gets lots of attention. Any serious inquiries about this car can call me anytime. I am selling this car As Is and not running. Anyone buying this car would need to arrange pick up on a low trailer or a roll back.

GM files to trademark name Badlands
Mon, Feb 23 2015If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon. Watch the National Corvette Museum sinkhole being filled in by R/C cars
Sun, Jan 11 2015Okay, so not exactly cars, but Bobcats - but still quite cool. You might remember that the National Corvette Museum had that little divot that needed to be filled in. Turns out the construction firm of Scott, Murphy & Daniel doing the work is using two remote-controlled Bobcats to fill the sinkhole with "manufactured sand," which in this case is crushed limestone. It appears that the Bobcat company has offered remote operation since at least 2007 via a wireless transmitter that works up to 1,500 feet away. So yes, that means two SMD employees stand on the edge of the pit and flick joystick levers for hours at a time, one in charge of a Bobcat with a roller-compactor attachment, the other in charge of a Bobcat with a bucket. And that, to us, is a pretty good way to earn the daily bread. Check out the video above for the latest sinkhole update.
