OK I am going to try to be as descriptive as possible but no doubt will forget some things so please call me if you have specific questions......8O4-337-2998
Here is a link to the value of my car through NADA(you may have to copy and paste in your browser?):
1) Note: my reserve is considerably less than the low retail!!!!
2) Note: In the picture where I am showing the paint chip on top the left front fender at the top leading edge of the door it looks like it has 2 scratches on the door they are only a reflection from the bumper of the vehicle parked next to it.
Now that we got that out of the way.....This is a 64 Chevy Impala SS with a 2 speed power glide trans. and only 57,xxx miles, It looks to have been repainted once and this is factory color for the car. The white "scallops" if you will, are painted on...not by me...but the paint/body over all is very nice with only minor issues(pictured) by best judgment the paint work is about 10-15 years old but well kept, I did put a magnet on the car especially in the low(normal problem areas) when I got it and found no evidence of mud. It is a very nice driver that needs some basic maintenance, easy and cheap stuff(weekend warrior kinda basics) due to sitting (in a garage) for a few years. The interior is all fresh and all white except for carpet which is black and new as well, It has a new black plastic Dash cap on it that needs to be finished installing(easy). The original SS center console(I have it all) and shifter was removed when previous owner installed a steering column (for the tilt wheel) all of the factory mounting hardware has NOT been removed(thankfully) from the floor, so it will be easy to re-install!! It has 2 sets of wheels and tires that come with it, the ones currently on the car are 63 ralleys (14 inch) with factory SS hub caps installed instead of center caps and rings, 2nd I have the original wheels with good tires mounted on them but tires are kinda ugly. The last 2 pictures are of the car with the original wheels/tires (same hub caps shown with both sets)
Known issues and explaination to the best of my knowledge::
*The lower grill trim needs to be replaced and there is slight damage at the mounting area that needs to be straightened out a little to install the new molding (I have a brand new molding that comes with it)
*When the door panels were redone, they did not put the "SS" emblems back on (I have 2 brand new ones that come with it)
*When the headliner was replaced the rear pillar dome lights were not re-installed and missing the "domes" that cover the bulb (I have 2 new ones that go with it) and the actual light fixtures need to be installed first
*There was no dash cover when I got it but I have a new plastic dash cap that needs to be finish installed
*The sunvisors and hardware are missing - don't have these
*The dash lights are inoperative - have not investigated - don't know - sorry
*The windshield is cracked - needs to be replaced
*The rear wheel cylinders are leaking a little
*Runs great and pulls strong but the carb is a 2 barrel and I believe could stand to be tweaked and maybe rebuilt
*There are a few minor little rust spots(pictured)
*Still has the factory radio but it is inoperable and sorry but have not investigated the problem - don't know
You can drive this car home if you so choose to do so!! The only thing needed to be done to drive home is the original wheels/tires will need to be installed on the front as the 63 wheels that are on it now came from a power steering car and were slightly rubbing the tie rod ends so we used 1/4 inch spacers to correct this however the lug nuts wont thread up far enough for me feel "safe" driving it for too long so longer studs will need to be installed in the front to run these wheels/tires, this issue does NOT exist on the rear wheels/tires.
I AM HAPPY TO SHOW IT TO ANYBODY INTERESTED AND WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE TO PLEASE COME TAKE A LOOK AT IT BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS!!! THANKS!!!
I am very easy to get along with and happy to help any way I can, I just want to re-iterate that I am happy for serious buyers to call me with questions or concerns or additional picture requests if you want to see something a little better or closer, Thanks!!!

May 2016: FCA wins, Ford and GM stumble on weak car volumes
Wed, Jun 1 2016The May 2016 sales numbers are in, and it looks as though FCA is getting some vindication for boldly cancelling two slow-selling car models. Meanwhile, Ford saw overall sales dip and GM's May volume took a big dive versus the same month in 2015. While Marchionne's decision to axe the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart has drawn criticism as being short-sighted, it's working for FCA so far. Although the Dart and 200 aren't out of production yet and no capacity has been shifted to crossover or trucks, May's numbers show that the emphasis on Jeep and Ram models makes sense right now. FCA's US sales rose 1 percent last month compared to May 2015, putting the year-to-date total at 955,186 vehicles, an increase of 6 percent compared to the same period last year. Standouts included the Jeep Renegade, Compass, and Patriot, and the Fiat 500X. Ram pickup sales were down 3 percent. And your fun fact is that Alfa Romeo sales were up precisely 10 percent, for a total of 44 4Cs sold versus 40 in the same month last year. At FoMoCo, the Ford brand took a hit to the tune of 6.4 percent from May 2015 to 2016, registering 226,190 sales last month. Lincoln showed improvement on its modest numbers, going from 9,174 to 9,807, a 6.9 percent increase. Overall, Ford was down 5.9 percent for the month to 235,997; despite the slump, year-to-date total Ford sales are up 4.2 percent to 1,112,939. Strong sellers included Escape, Expedition, F-Series, and Transit - big stuff. Most small and/or efficient models (Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, C-Max) saw sales slides. Fusion sales were also down, likely due to effects of model changeover to the freshened 2017 model. Ford has promised four new crossovers and SUVs by 2020 and if things keep trending this way the company will be able to sell them, but things could change in the next four years. GM saw the worst of it for domestic brands. Retail and fleet sales were down for each of the four divisions, with the May 2016 total dropping 18 percent to 240,450 vehicles. GM's year-to-date sales are down 5.0 percent in 2016 to 1,183,705. Both the Sierra and Silverado were down significantly, and the majority of Chevy, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac nameplates saw sales decreases, with both small cars and larger utilities included. Not even big stuff could help GM this month, it seems. We'll have more on the rest of the industry's May sales as those figures trickle in.
Weekly Recap: Lamborghini to build SUV
Sat, May 30 2015Finally, Lamborghini will build a sport utility vehicle. The Italian supercar maker confirmed this week that it will launch a luxury SUV in 2018. It will be built at Lamborghini's soon-to-expand factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese in Italy, and will double the company's current sales volume. Lamborghini did not announce a name for the vehicle or other details, but noted a concept version, the Urus, was displayed at the Beijing motor show in 2012. It will be sold around the world, but it's expected to be a critical offering in the United States, China, and the Middle East. The automaker projects the SUV will sell about 3,000 units per year, and it will be the third product in Lamborghini's portfolio. It currently sells the Huracan and Aventador supercars. "The introduction of a third model line endorses the stable and sustainable growth of the company and signifies for us the beginning of a new era," Lamborghini chief executive Stephan Winkelmann said in a statement. The project is also a boon for Italy, which will get 500 new jobs in the Emilia Romagna region as Lamborghini's factory will nearly double in size. Ian Fletcher, principal analyst for IHS Automotive, said the SUV will position Lamborghini for future growth. "It could well also bring new customers to the brand [who] may find the dramatic styling of Lamborghini products appealing, but find its typical sports cars restrictive," he said. "If it is a success, the SUV could be a catalyst to Lamborghini broadening its portfolio further." OTHER NEWS & NOTES GM invests in Chevy Camaro factory General Motors is investing $175 million to upgrade its factory in Lansing, MI, to build the 2016 Chevy Camaro. The investment will pay for new tooling and equipment. The improvements include three new paint systems and two new robotic framers. GM will add a second shift at the factory to build the Camaro, resulting in 500 jobs. The automaker had dropped the plant to one shift last year amid slow sales for its products, the Cadillac ATS and CTS. GM is spending $5.4 billion over the next three years to upgrade its US facilities. Last week, GM announced plans to spend $439 million to build a new paint shop for the Chevy Corvette. While the Camaro and Corvette plant improvements are intriguing to enthusiasts, GM also confirmed this week that it is investing $1.2 billion in its Fort Wayne (IN) factory that builds trucks.
Cruze Diesel Road Trip reveals the good and bad, but no ugly
Tue, Mar 31 2015Most of us have strong opinions on diesel-powered cars based on our perceptions of and experience with them. I used to thoroughly dislike oil burners for their noise, smoke and lackluster performance, and the fact that they ran on greasy, smelly stuff that was more expensive than gasoline, could be hard to find and was nasty to get on your hands when refueling. Those negatives, for me, trumped diesel's major positives of big torque for strong acceleration and better fuel economy. Are any of those knocks on diesel still valid today? I'm not talking semis, which continue to annoy me when their operators for some reason almost never shut them down. At any busy truck stop, the air seems always filled with the sound – and sometimes smell – of dozens of big-rig diesels idling endlessly and mindlessly. Or diesel heavy-duty pickups. Those muscular workhorses are far more refined than they once were and burn much less fuel than their gasoline counterparts. But good luck arriving home late at night, or departing early morning, without waking your housemates and neighbors with their clattery racket. No, I'm talking diesel-powered passenger cars, which account for more than half the market in Europe (diesel fuel is cheaper there) yet still barely bump the sales charts in North America. Diesel fuel remains more expensive here, too few stations carry it, and too many Americans remember when diesel cars were noisy, smelly slugs. Also, US emissions requirements make them substantially more expensive to certify, and therefore to buy. But put aside (if you can) higher vehicle purchase and fuel prices, and today's diesel cars can be delightful to drive while delivering much better fuel efficiency than gas-powered versions. So far in the US, all except Chevrolet's compact Cruze Diesel come from German brands, and all are amazingly quiet, visually clean (no smoke) and can be torquey-fun to drive. When a GM Powertrain engineering team set out to modify a tried-and-true GM of Europe turbodiesel four for North American Chevy Cruze compacts, says assistant chief engineer Mike Siegrist, it had a clear target in mind: the Volkswagen Jetta TDI 2.0-liter diesel. And they'll tell you that they beat it in nearly every way. "I believe we have a superior product," he says. "It's powerful, efficient and clean, and it will change perceptions of what a diesel car can be." The 2.0L Cruze turbodiesel pumps out 151 SAE certified horses and 264 pound-feet of torque (at just 2,000 rpm) vs.
