You are bidding on a 1964 Chevrolet Impala, blue with white top. There are blue patterns in the top, they are clear coated over where you cannot feel the lines in it. This car was built by v-max (vernon maxwell) out of California from frame up. Nothing but the best. This car was actually in Lowrider magazine around the year 2000. If you know or have heard of him, you now that any thing he builds for himself or others is a Lowrider magazine cover car. He has had many of his in there. I am going to try and type as much as I can remember about the car, but please email me and ask any questions or if you need any more pics. Ok here goes, I understand this car was built for his nephew. He is in the Individuals Car Club out of st.louis. He got in to some trouble and it was repossesed by the DEA. It was being sold at a siezed auction in 2002. I found out about it and went and bought it. I've had it ever since and have not drove it more than 300 to 500 miles. It has the best of everything. The hydraulic system is the best at that time and is still very good. It has 1" chrome steel blocks with number 9 marzocchi (real ones) pump heads, 3/4 inch check valves and slow down. All fittings are Adex dumps 4 pumps 14 batteries (the only thing that is wrong with hydraulics is no batteries as the last time i bought batteries was a few years ago, but i have a battery store here that you can get refurbished batteries for 35 dollars a piece. With new batteries it will hit back bumper at about 52 in as the back has 16 inch coil over cylinders with 1/2 " hoses. So enough about the hydraulics, if you have any questions please email and I will tell you anything about them. The car has power windows and locks and power steering. It was built for show so all suspension and fender wells are chromed. The interior is stock, and in good condition. Has cd player with 4 6x9s. The motor is chromed out. The frame is wrapped with 1/4 metal all the way around 4 sides and powder coated white. The wire wheels have every other spoke powder coated white. The car has 49,000 original miles on it, and I have a certified letter from the DEA auction stating that. The car runs good and looks good but it needs a fresh restore. The car is not a cover car as of now but can be again. It is still an awesome daily driver now. I would say the car is a 7 out of 10 and thats being picky. I havent drove or touched the car in about 2 years so i dont know if i would drive it away from here if you had very long to go as of it is a 1964. I dont want to get rid of it now but need to move on to the next chapter of my life. Thank you for looking and good luck.

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts
Wed, 27 Feb 2013There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.
GM's MPG overstatement could affect 2 million vehicles
Tue, May 17 2016Late last week, GM admitted that three of its large SUVs fuel economy window stickers did not match their actual efficiency ratings, and so the vehicles couldn't be sold. The stickers on the 2016 Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Buick Enclave said their ratings were one to two miles per gallon better than they should have been. Officially, the number of affected vehicles sits at about 60,000. But Consumer Reports makes a good point: what's up with all of the previous model year SUVs that are basically the same vehicle? To wit: the 2016 model year vehicles are not substantially different than the 2015 or the 2014, or even going all the way back to 2007. On the EPA's fuel economy website, all of these older models will "have better stated fuel economy numbers than the new vehicles in GM's dealerships," Consumer Reports noted. CR's best point, and the one that makes the 60,000 number potentially grow to 2 million if all of the vehicles built on this platform are affected, is that "[i]t seems unlikely that the company would change the powertrain on these carryover models so late in their model cycles in a way that would cause a dramatic, negative impact on fuel economy." GM says that earlier model year SUVs are not affected and the EPA did not respond to CR's question about the potential for more discrepancies. We've seen automakers reverse course before, so if GM has to come out with a mea culpa soon, don't be surprised. GM is rushing corrected stickers to dealers so that the SUVs can be sold again, but a fix for the already-sold vehicles could be trickier to solve. GM drops diesel engines for 2020 Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain crossovers
Fri, Jul 12 2019GM is officially discontinuing the diesel engine in the Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain for the 2020 model year. The 1.6-liter turbodiesel was always an oddball of an engine in the compact crossover segment, and now the experiment has come to an end. The Car Connection initially reported the news, and a GMC spokesperson, Stuart Fowle, confirmed it to us this morning. “A huge majority of our Terrain customers have opted for one of our two gas engines," says Fowle. We canÂ’t say this eventuality comes as a massive surprise, as we saw news from couple of months ago that GM was dropping all-wheel drive from the diesel-powered cars for 2020. Low demand was cited as the reason for that cull, and itÂ’s the same for the little GM crossovers this time around, too. These vehicles were the only ones powered with a diesel engine in their class, but thatÂ’s going to be changing. Just as GM is going away from the diesel, Mazda is finally bringing its diesel to market in the CX-5. YouÂ’ll only be able to get that engine in the most expensive ($42,045) trim level, combined with all-wheel drive, though. The cheapest Equinox diesel starts at a comparably low $30,795. ThatÂ’s a $2,400 upcharge over the base 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder, and the value is questionable. Mileage is better, but diesel fuel is more expensive. Towing capability didnÂ’t increase over the base engineÂ’s 1,500-pound capacity, but the extra torque around town was nice. As diesels go in the U.S., this one was rather rough and noisy, possibly contributing to some turning their noses up after a test drive. Perhaps another reason for its demise was that the much quicker 2.0-liter turbo Equinox was only $100 more than the diesel. This engine offered significantly better towing at 3,500 pounds, too. You can read all about what we thought of the diesel in our first drive review here, but the 2019 model year is the last one if you had it on your shortlist.
