2009 Chevy HHR was purchased for my wife when it had 29k miles on it.  My wife put 40k miles on it driving 70 miles round trip to work and back.  We then sold it to our daughter who drove the same distance round trip to work and back.  The HHR now has 88k miles on it.  The car gets around 30 mpg and has plenty of get up and go.  It is a very nice ride.

Problems with the vehicle is that there are 3 small dents above the driver's door and rear passenger door, as you can see in the pictures. The air bag light is on - it's never been in a crash.  The problem reads "passenger side loop".  I put 1 new strut on the front - it still has a bumping noise on a rough road.  I think I may have replaced the wrong strut.  This car has not been smoked in, interior is very good.  Tires have 35k miles on them and still has good tread.

This vehicle is road ready and you will love the way it rides and drives.  Good luck bidding.

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue

Wed, 14 Nov 2012

General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.

Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
