Interior is clean and showing no or very minimal wear. The rear cargo carpet still has the original plastic wrapping on it. The paint is and shiny, normal road chips and scratches are touched up when noticed at waxing intervals."

I am the original owner and bought the vehicle brand new.  It has always been adult driven by myself and my wife.  I have owned my own repair business and have always done oil changes before they were due.  I always start out giving a brand new car an oil change with filter at around 3000 miles.  This car has always had Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil.  The car has 59,773 miles, and has never been involved in any accidents however a small doe ran towards the passenger car of the car and did not get turned around fast enough to keep from brushing the two passenger doors.  I made the body shop replace both doors with GM original replacement panels.  I am very particular about my cars and did not want any body filler in it, and that was several years ago.  You can not tell the doors have ever been replaced as the originals were only had minor damage to begin with.   The car has usual chips and scratches from use.  I touch up all chips and scratches at waxing intervals.  The car has a small chip in the windshield on the passenger side that happened the second week I owned the car.  The chip is so minor that I never had it repaired.  Some of this stuff is hardly worth mentioning but I want to make sure I include everything that I can.   The car is in excellent mechanical condition, and I don't hesitate to take it on trips anywhere.  I put two new tires on the front last fall and they have approximately 7000 miles on them.  All tires are in good shape.  The interior is in excellent shape and am unaware of any wear on the upholstery. As a matter of fact the rear cargo carpet is still in ins original plastic bag as can be seen in the pictures.  I am selling this car due to a new car purchase.  I usually take good care of my cars and I usually have friends to purchase them when I am ready to get rid of them, the friend I was counting on purchasing this car has lost their job and I am going to try and sell this car on E-Bay.  The following is off the original sticker sheet of the car:

Mechanical: Engine 2.2L DOHC ECOTEC, Transmission 4 spd automatic, Speed sensitive  electric power steering, touring suspension system

Safety and Security: Brakes power FR Disc/RR Drum, Air Bags, Dual Frontal, Passenger Sensing System, Theft Deterrent System, Battery Rundown Protection, Latch System for Child Seats, Daytime running lamps, Auto Headlights, Child Security RR Door Locks, Front Height Adjustment Safety Belts, OnStar ready, Tire pressure monitors.

Exterior: 16" Wheels, All Season Tires, Power Outside Mirrors, Windshield Wipers Intermittent, Rear Wiper and Washer,

Interior:  Air Conditioning, Air Filtration System AM/FM Stereo, CD Player with MP-3 input jack, Seats, Front Bucket, Cloth, Front Passenger Fold Flat Seat, Seat, Rear Cloth Bench, Split folding, Flr Console w/3cupholders and dual power outlets, Tach & Driver information cntr, Tilt Steering Wheel, Power door locks, Power windows, remote keyless entry, rear window defroster, Floor mats front and rear, Auxiliary glove box, remote vehicle starter.

Recharge Wrap-up: EVs poll well in Portland, Tesla seeks office space

Tue, Aug 5 2014

In a poll of drivers in Portland, more than 80 percent said they would be driving an EV in the next 10 years if they weren't already. The poll was small and not scientific, with just 218 votes cast, but it does reflect a slice of a certain population with changing attitudes toward electric mobility, and 80 percent is an impressive figure. Additionally, 43 percent of respondents planned to have an EV in the next five years, and only 18 percent said they prefer gasoline-powered vehicles. With EVs in many ways repeating the adoption process that hybrids went through a decade ago, the five- or ten-year timeframe for more widespread use seems only natural. Read more at the Portland Business Journal. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee parks like an idiot, or rather, his security detail does. His Chevrolet Volt has been ticketed for parking six times since he took office. Granted, those street-sweeping signs are tough to keep track of, but his car has been photographed blocking at a bus stop while grabbing a burrito (who hasn't sinned in the name of a delicious burrito?), and was even caught parked in a crosswalk. The tickets were all dismissed. Read more from the SF Gate. Tesla is looking for office space in Silicon Valley. As the electric car company continues to search for a place to build its $4- to $5-billion battery Gigafactory, it also needs some real estate to expand its operations near its Palo Alto home. Tesla has expanded from 3,000 to 6,000 California-based employees since the end of 2012, and plans to add 500 more by the end of the year. It is currently looking for 200,000 to 300,000 square feet of office space close to its Fremont factory, according to sources in the real estate industry. Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.

GM trucks get hybrid versions, but you'll probably never see one

Thu, Feb 25 2016

A few years ago, General Motors sold hybrid versions of its Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups. They weren't very good, using GM's old two-mode hybrid system that resulted in only negligible fuel economy gains. But GM's trying again, launching eAssist models of the 2016 Silverado and Sierra that are said to offer 2-mpg improvements in city, highway, and combined fuel economy ratings. Problem is, you probably won't be able to get one. Only 700 eAssist trucks will be made for the 2016 model year – 500 Silverados and 200 Sierras. When you consider that GM moved 824,683 examples of its light-duty pickups in 2015, this small run represents 0.08-percent of all Silverado/Sierra production, and GM says it "will monitor the market closely ... and adjust as appropriate moving forward." But that's not the only limitation. The eAssist trucks will only be sold through California dealers. For the Silverado, eAssist can only be optioned on the 1500 Crew Cab 1LT 2WD model, and for the Sierra, the fuel-saving technology is solely available on the 1500 SLT Crew Cab 2WD model with the SLT Premium Plus package. Granted, in terms of the Sierra, that means you get niceties like LED headlights and taillights, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bose premium audio, heated seats and steering wheel, lane keep assist, and more. In the trucks, eAssist combines a small electric motor and 0.45-kWh battery pack with the pickups' 5.3-liter V8. GM estimates total output of 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque – no more horsepower than the non-eAssist trucks, but three more pound-feet of torque. GM says the eAssist trucks can tow up to 9,400 pounds, and the battery only adds 100 pounds to the trucks' weight. The electric motor provides 13 hp and 44 lb-ft of torque for a boost of acceleration off the line, or during passing. It also allows the engine to run in four-cylinder mode for longer periods of time. eAssist uses regenerative braking to help power onboard electrical systems, and adds start/stop to the powertrain. Finally, the so-equipped trucks have a six-percent improvement in aerodynamics, thanks to a soft tonneau cover and active grille shutters in the front fascia. Great news is, the eAssist option is relatively inexpensive, only costing $500. But good luck getting your hands on one.
