19954 Chevy G20 High top conversion van
Sixty thousand original miles!
New Virginia inspection
This van is loaded! 5.7L v-8, Automatic transmission, Separate front and rear A/C systems, Power windows, locks, mirrors, ABS brakes, extended headroom, TV, separate VCR, four leather captains chairs, and a rear bench seat that folds to a full size bed with the touch of a button.
This van is in excellent overall condition with very few minor problems. The body is straight, with very few, if any dents. The paint is still glossy , but the striping is worn. There is rust on the gutter at the top of the front window. It does NOT extend below the level of the lip of the gutter, and there are NO leaks. The interior of this van is in excellent condition, with minor sun fading on the drivers seat bottom, the wood on the center console, and a small area of carpet just inside the side doors. The leather upholstery is in excellent condition, all of the leather is still supple, and there are no cracks, rips, tears, or major stains. The rear bench seat works as it should. The stereo is in good condition, and all of the speakers work. The TV and VCR both work, as do all of the different lights, both in the ceiling and on the floor. The VCR can easily be replaced with an X-box or other game system. Both air conditioning systems work, but only blow warm air. I have not had this checked. The fuel gauge reads full all the time. I believe a new sending unit is needed.
The motor starts easily and runs smooth. The exhaust was replaced several years ago, and has a nice rumble. The motor just received new plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, PCV valve, air filter, fuel filter, oil and filter. The van was given an alignment, and the pitman arm was replaced two weeks ago. The transmission shifts as it should, with no problems observed. The van has new front brake pads and new brake fluid throughout. The rear pads were checked as part of Virginia's stringent annual State inspection.
This van is in very good, original condition, with very few miles. It runs strong, and is ready to go wherever you want, and can find a road.
This van came to me with fender flares and side skirts. The paint is peeling from the skirts, so the flares and skirts were removed and saved, along with all of the fasteners, and will be part of this auction.
Ask any questions before you bid. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, as the van is for sale locally. If you wish to view the van, please email me to set a time. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will meet your trucker within reason.$500 deposit due at auctions end, balance due within 7 days, preferably by wire transfer, but will accommodate to a point (No Nigerian checks).

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

Fri, 03 Aug 2012

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.

Chevy: The Big Game

Mon, Feb 2 2015

Chevrolet took an early lead for the 2015 Super Bowl advertising crown with its spot for the all-new, 4G LTE-capable Colorado pickup in a spot that simulated a problem with your TV. The stark, simple ad then states that if you're lucky enough to have an Internet-capable vehicle, like the new Colorado, you'd at least be able to stream the game. A clever, chuckle-inducing spot if there was one. Check out our full write up of the new, 2015 Colorado. Marketing/Advertising Chevrolet Truck Super Bowl Commercials Videos 2015 super bowl ad
