1975 Chevy G20 Camper van. 98,500 miles. New Mexico Vehicle, second owner.
I bought this van when I was stationed in New Mexico. I have over $7000 of work into it, with all the receipts. It's very unique and well taken care of.
The Good:
No Rust, had all body work done and new paint job ($4000 total)
New Tires, including spare ($500)
Great Undercarriage
New Starter, radiator, carburetor, hoses, gaskets, belts, timing chain etc. ($2000)
New Sound System, all kenwood speakers with 6x9's rear, 4.5's upfront, one ten inch sub, USB hookup ($800)
All camper accessories function, 2 burner propane stove, ice box, lights, sink and beds
Very sound mechanically, daily driver, can handle cross country no problem with clean rust free body.
The Needs:
Rubber seals need to be replaced around the doors, leaks when it rains
Sliding door handle is missing a clip, still functions but only from the inside
Some of the original shag carpet has come off the driver door and sliding door.
Really for the right person a very cool, very fun vehicle. I loved this thing and babied it. I put money into expecting to keep it for a long time but got a job overseas and don't want it to sit and waste away. Drove it from New Mexico to Wyoming at Christmas time with out a single issue. From New Mexico to Florida in July with out a single issue. And florida to Maine again with out it hesitating, coughing, stalling, overheating or anything else ever.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
Next-gen GMC Sierra spied with diesel power
Tue, Sep 5 2017The next generation of GM trucks is arriving soon, and we're expecting a huge leap forward over the current lineup. The Chevy Silverado and the GMC SIerra sell extremely well, but haven't done much to move the segment forward in a long time. The Ford F-150 has an all-aluminum body and turbocharged V6 power. The Ram 1500 gained a diesel and coil spring suspension. These spy shots show that diesel may be in the cards for GM. Some quick shots and copious use of flash show what is most likely a tank for diesel exhaust fluid and a diesel particulate filter, both necessary equipment for any modern diesel. It's unclear what form factor that engine will come in, though GM has a number of engines to choose from, including the 2.8-liter inline four that's found in the Colorado and Canyon, though that may be a little light duty for the Silverado and Sierra. Other rumors surrounding the trucks suggest a move to an aluminum cab while retaining a steel bed. That seems like a reasonable move for GM, even if the company was attempting to shame Ford for its move to aluminum a few years ago. Look for more news as early as the Detroit Auto Show in January. Next-gen Chevy Volt gets Corvette looks, adjustable regen levels
Sat, Dec 20 2014The hood may say "full speed ahead." The regenerative braking system says "slow down a bit." One person's automotive improvements is another's identity crisis, all in a day's work analyzing the new Chevrolet Volt. The next-generation version of General Motors' first extended-range plug in will include design touches taken from to the new Chevrolet Corvette, GM's iconic sports car. Hexagonal taillights and a "taut" hood will be part of the new package, Automotive News says, citing General Motors design chief Ed Wilbur. But does that mean the Volt is shedding any of its green-car cred? Not at all, if one considers that the Volt will also let the driver adjust the degree of regenerative braking using steering-wheel paddles to dial up and recapture as much energy as possible and engage in "one-pedal" driving or turn it down for easier coasting. Check out the 55-second video below featuring GM executives Mark Reuss and Andrew Farah trying out the Volt's new regenerative-braking system that was first used on the Cadillac ELR. GM will have more details for us when it unveils the 2016 Chevy Volt at the North American Auto Show in Detroit next month. The new version is said to have a larger battery, a longer all-electric driving range and more power, but Chevy's been fairly mum on those sorts of performance details so far.
