Meticulously maintained and has many new parts. Including a new 24" flat screen TV, A NEW 1500w power converter which was used to power a mini fridge and an xbox as well as the tv."

You are looking at one of the finest vans available in the marketplace for its year , when I bought this van I spent a lot of time looking and even turning down "nicer ones" because of rust or leaks or dealers just selling unknown vehicles just to make a profit and not able to show any maintenance records etc etc.... (I'm sure you know this story).

As I said I was going to keep this for a long time as we go on vacations out west and enjoy the outdoors and need to have a reliable van to do so, that's why I bought this one after looking at so many, including flood vehicles which just seemed to good to be true..(.screw that and those low life's!!!)

Even when I got this which had 120k on it I had my mechanic go over it and followed his advice and replaced the following parts,

New fuel pump,  $148 plus $300 to install

New water pump, bosch $189 plus $400 to install, also new clutch plate $142, and new serpentine belt $39.

Replaced the old radiator fluid with new fluid using distilled water after flush, $120,

New transmission fluid, has had 3 oil changes in 2 months.

I got new wheels and tires which have been on the van for less than 2 months, rated at 50k they have 45k left. $1200.

Mechanic did a full service on the ac unit and this was worth every penny!!  It is freezing cold!!!!  $250.

The man I got this from just put new rotors on the front as well as new break pads and new other parts on the rear wheels (forget what they are called).

I bought a new flat screen TV which had 2 HDMI ports as well as a host of other features and went to great pains to install ! Took a lot of time!! I also bought a new 1500w inverter and hooked it up to the battery with heavy duty cables which I ran up the passenger side inner rail to keep it all nice and neat looking. total cost for all parts were about $499 .

Al the seats are in perfect condition as they were covered with new towels and of course I will include them with the sale. Lots of extra floor mats which helps keep things clean.  Full power driver seat is very confutable as I never had one complaint on my cross country trip last month.

As seen in the photos there is a scratch in the side and 2 small dings in the rear doors, all glass in in great condition and once again its a rust free van and has no leaks what so ever!!

Some people say "I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country"  Well I just did --5000 miles there and back- and yes I would do it again!! With my family of 4 and al our luggage (mostly the wife's) as well as camping gear and food we had plenty of room and at no time did anything go wrong, vehicle was perfect!!  We went up and down mountains (moki dugway, look that one up, put it on your bucket list --what a drive- wonderful views !!) with the ac blasting and no hesitation out of the wonderful chevy 5.7!

Please ask any questions you have, you will not be disappointed with this van, in fact it drives like a caddy, very smooth and very quite, got a nice upgraded radio with bluetooth, we played pandora all the way from NY to Utah .  I will include the old radio.

I have a  new battery I brought with us on the trip just in cast (!) $119 that I will will include with the sale.

As I am NOT a dealer I will not be asking stupid fees that they all appear to be doing, 399-499 ??  really!  What you win the auction for is the final fee--Nothing extra added!

Thanks for looking and good luck!  Feel free to call if you wish, 914-261-4746, john.

Weekly Recap: Geneva's splendor reflects growing demand for ultra-luxury cars

Sat, Mar 7 2015

Geneva is one of the most glittering auto shows in the world, but the list of high-powered and bespoke luxury cars was decadent this year even by the rich standards of the Swiss exhibition. It's great for enthusiasts to revel in the flame-throwing Aston Martin Vulcan, the racing-inspired elegance of the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 concept and the insane performance of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce, but there's a reason for all of this opulence: the luxury market is big business. And it's growing. IHS Automotive forecasts that so-called ultra-premium sales will nearly triple this decade from 123,000 to 353,000 units around the world. The estimate includes brands like Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari and Rolls-Royce, but doesn't count BMW, Mercedes and Audi, which offer less expensive models in addition to their high-end flagships. Though IHS includes Porsche and its relatively large volume in the study, the ultra-premium segment is still set grow at about the same rate, even without the German automaker's figures. So what is propelling all of this growth in the most expensive segment of the auto industry? Put simply, there's more rich people. IHS Automotive principal analyst Tim Urquhart pointed to economic expansion in China, market recovery in the United States and a surge in the lucrative technology sector as contributing factors. This dovetails with a research report by UK-based Oxfam, an international relief organization, which found the world's richest one-percent owned 48 percent of global wealth in 2014, and it's expected to increase to more than 50 percent by 2016. View 17 Photos Carmakers are moving quickly to capitalize with new products, expanding their portfolios with low-volume speedsters like the 800-hp V12 Vulcan at Geneva, and plans to enter new segments, like Rolls-Royce's strategy to make an SUV. "Ultra-premium carmakers are looking to explore ways of growing their product offerings, and thus their bottom lines, in this most potentially profitable of segments," Urquhart wrote in a report on the Geneva show. In a nutshell, there are more choices for people with more money. It's a good time to have expensive taste. Other News & Notes 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata production launches It won't be long now. Chevy EN-V 2.0 coming to Tianjin Eco-City in China

Fri, Jun 20 2014

Chevrolet is bringing its EN-V 2.0 to the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City in China to show off the "Electric Networked-Vehicle" and demonstrate sustainable urban mobility. The small, two-seat EV concept is an updated version of the original EN-V, a vision of getting around in a future world where space is at a premium and clean air is a priority. So what better place to showcase the evolved EN-V than at the Tianjin Eco-City? The Eco-City is being developed as a planned urban space with eco-consciousness built in. The joint venture between China and Singapore offers an alternative to country living and smog-filled cities. Tianjin Eco-City, slated to be completed by 2020, will be able to offer 350,000 inhabitants clean air and water, renewable energy, green transportation and living spaces and, if all goes as planned, jobs for 50 percent of the residents. Currently, only about three square kilometers of the planned 30 square kilometers have been built, with only about 6,000 permanent residents, but there's still time. The EN-V 2.0, as the "Networked" part of its name suggests, not only features mobile internet, but can communicate with other cars around it. Along with GPS and built-in sensors, this connection between vehicles allows the car to drive autonomously (at least in theory - again, there's still time). This is ideal in an urban environment where congestion can be a major issue. The EN-V 2.0 improves upon the original concept with climate control, storage space and all-weather capability, which also make life more bearable and daily commuting possible. We first saw renderings of the updated vehicle in 2012. The Chevrolet EN-V 2.0 will be used in the Eco-City's National Animation Industry Park and Eco-Business Park of the course of the two-week demonstration. Read on below for more in the press release from GM. GM to Demonstrate Chevrolet EN-V 2.0 in Tianjin Eco-City SHANGHAI – General Motors today announced that it will begin demonstrating the Chevrolet EN-V 2.0 (Electric Networked-Vehicle) in the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City this week, signaling the company's learning and progress in sustainable urban mobility. The demonstration will help GM further understand consumers' usage of low-speed transportation tools for their daily commute. During the two-week demonstration period, the EN-V 2.0s will be used in the National Animation Industry Park and Eco-Business Park inside the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City.

Take a close look at the guts of the Chevy Volt battery, powertrain

Sat, Aug 9 2014

Just how intimate would you like to get with the powertrain in a Chevy Volt? If you're anything like YouTube user d55guy, then spending a half hour filming yourself taking apart the battery pack, motor, inverter and more for a look inside sounds like your idea of fun. After all, this way you get to see the cooling system, the heavy safety kill switch and count up the individual cells in the battery modules. Fun! Turns out, we also enjoy languidly paced Volt dissection video goodness, and we think you might want to see it as well. So, we've embedded two videos below and if you don't have a better understanding of how the Volt is put together after watching them, well, at least you can't say we never tried to show you anything. Given that what's really happening here is the organized 'destruction' of an expensive and potentially dangerous object, let's talk safety. There's a serious disclaimer at the beginning of the videos and on the YouTube description page, but we feel the need to repeat the gist of it here: do not try this at home. The creator of the video says he is a trained engineer and has been doing things like this "for the better part of a decade," so he apparently knows what he's doing. With that in mind, watch it all below. When you're done seeing the insides of a Volt powertrain up close, if you need more filmed EV dissection/destruction, check out this video designed for first responders approaching a damaged Tesla Model S.
