Current Title, The current title is a MINNESOTA salvage title. Please check with your state before bidding. Once you get this car inspected, it should come back as a prior salvage title/rebuilt in your home state. I can get it inspected here in Minnesota, but that might not do you any good if you live out of state. If I do get it inspected here, and send the title into Minnesota, then its going to take about 3 months for the state of Minnesota to send me the prior salvage title back. I know for a fact that this car will pass a Minnesota state inspection with flying colors or your money back. Other state's might require something different, so please check before you bid. All sales are final. We will provide you with a bill of sale, title, repair receipts, ect. You shouldn't need anything more then what I listed above, but if there is, let us know and we will do our best to get you anything you need to get this vehicle inspected in your home state. Att: Minnesota buyers, You will be charged sales tax at a rate of 6.5%, plus plates, tabs, and title transfer fees. You will also need to get this vehicle inspected with in the next year and we will provide you will all the receipts and Minnesota Affidavit of Reconstruction paperwork that you will need to get it inspected. You will be provided with a 21 day permit to drive this vehicle right away, and then we will get the plates for you and they will be mailed to you or you can pick this up if you are local. You have one year to get this vehicle inspected before Minnesota will issue you new license tabs. The inspection process is easy and only takes about 20mins. We will provide you with the dates and times of your nearest inspection center. After is has been inspected, you will get a new title back from the State of Minnesota that will give it a Prior Salvage Title Status. According to the State, that means that it is a clear title. According to everyone else, its still a salvage title. Att: Non-Minnesota buyers, You will NOT be charged any added fees. You will owe the exact amount of your final bid and that's all. You will be given the receipts for the repairs in the event you need them. You will also need to check with your local DMV to check the process of transferring a salvage title in your home state before you bid. You will be given a 31day permit to drive this vehicle home, but after that, you are on your own. You should be able to take the title to your dmv and get it transferred and get plates right away, but some states might have a different process that you need to go though, so please check that out before you bid. Depending on where you are, it could take anywhere from 2 to 8 business days before you receive this vehicle. Deposit, After this auction ends, we will need a $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit with in 48hrs of the end of this auction. GM to idle car production at five factories as Americans continue CUV love affair
Mon, Dec 19 2016In case you needed another reminder that Americans have fallen out of love with sedans, General Motors today announced plans to idle five factories in January in a bid to cut its inventory to 70 days. Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly ( Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac CT6, Chevrolet Volt and Impala) and Fairfax Assembly in Kansas ( Chevy Malibu) will stop production for three weeks. Lansing Grand River ( Cadillac ATS and CTS, and Chevy Camaro) is going down for two weeks, while Lordstown, OH ( Chevy Cruze) and Bowling Green, KY ( Chevy Corvette) will go idle for a week each, Automotive News reports. GM's shutdown reflects a broader problem with the company's supply – at 847,000 vehicles, the company's supply increased unsteadily from a low of 629,000 units in January of 2016. That's more than a 25 percent increase in the past year. Citing information from Autodata, The Detroit News reports that at the end of November, GM had a 168-day supply of LaCrosses, 177 days' worth of Camaro, 170 days of Corvette, 121 days for Cruze, 119 days for ATS, 132 days for CTS, and 110 days of CT6. Meanwhile, inventory of the company's more popular vehicles is actually below the professionally accepted 60- to 70-day supply, The News reports. The Trax, Colorado pickup, and GM's full-size SUVs are sitting below 50 days and experiencing year-over-year sales increases. GM needs a rethink of its inventory levels, which is something that's apparently coming. "We're going to be responsible in managing our inventory levels," GM spokesman Jim Cain told The News. Another unnamed spokesman told Automotive News the company's day-to-day supplies would "fluctuate before moderating at year-end." But at least one analyst thinks this won't be the last time Detroit needs to stop production to level things out. "Incentives are elevated, residuals are declining, and rates are rising," Brian Johnson, an analyst with Barclays, told The News. "And while GM in particular may benefit in the months ahead from new product launches, it's important to recognize that GM's inventory is elevated at the moment, and it wouldn't surprise us if they need to announce another production cut – which could pressure the stock." Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo could only work in a video game [w/video]
Thu, Nov 20 2014There's something wondrous about the Vision Gran Turismo series of concepts that has let companies go wild with completely imaginary concepts for Gran Turismo. For Chevrolet's crack at the idea, it has taken a page out of its performance past with the Chaparral Can-Am racers of the '60s and '70s, with its designers having reinterpreted that period look for the future of motorsports as the Chaparral 2X. In real life, the 2X looks even better than in earlier photos. The design takes inspiration from someone in a flying suit with head down and arms outstretched, an influence you can really see that in the vehicle's shape. The driver lies facedown inside with the instruments projected onto a visor. Unfortunately, the powertrain here is a complete flight of fancy and works purely in the video game world. It imagines a laser propelled by lithium-ion batteries and an air-powered generation to make 900 horsepower. The 2X has a theoretical top speed of 240 miles per hour and hits 60 mph in a lightning-quick 1.5 seconds.
