RUNS AND DRIVES 2011 Chevrolet Equinox 17285 Miles salvage flood repaired. I purchased from an Insurance Company with water damage.When I first purchased it, the battery was dead, there were signs of water up to the seat. I have replaced new passenger side fuse box. The car runs and drives excellent ,I have personally driven almost 5000 miles with no problems.No sign of water in engine and transmission and was serviced with fresh fluids. Everything works such as power window, power door lock and power seats work, A/C work,cruise,radio, sunroof work, all lights work.Check engine light on, airbag light on, stabiltrak light on, Since this is a flood car there are some minor things that could be fixed or they do not have to be. You can drive the car as it is. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere, fly in, drive home. Exterior is excellent. Interior in great condition. I'm selling the car" AS IS" with no warranty. GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories
Wed, 06 Feb 2013As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
