You will not find another like it, and certainly not at this price. I bought this Caballero (GMC) with 89,000 miles about 5 years ago, drove it for 2 years and then started building the El Camino of my dreams. First the paint, this vehicle was painted in one of the finest paint shops in Winter Park Florida , it was taken down to bare metal and we were all pleasantly suprised not to find a drop of rust anywhere, I never saw any but expected rust to rear its ugly head when the paint was removed. The car was blocked then sanded 3 times over a 6 month period primed then painted. This car has a finish on it that you will not find on a new Mercedes Benz, it is out of this world, the kind of finish you will take great pleasure in.

The motor is a LS2 built by  Turn Key engines in California an produces 510 HP. Turn key chose the transmission which was built by Zack at Gear Star Performance Transmissions, it is a 4 speed auto. The complete suspension is by Hotchkis. The radiator, oil cooler, driveshaft, linkage, all custom and designed for this motor combination. This baby will smoke the tires any time you ask, or drive in traffic just like any other car... its a real sleeper that you cannot drive without someone giving you the thumbs up.

The motor was broken in by myself very carefully and she now has 4,000 miles on her. The only this that needs doing is she will blow gas out of the gas tank and I just have not got around to fixing it. At this point I have about 75K in this vehicle.

I am selling Abbey because I need the money... pure and simple.

Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions.

Almost forgot, the roof has the smallest of dents,no crease, no paint damage. look at the picture not sure how it happened the paint is perfect and I have been told one of those dent companies could remove it, I just have not had the time.

Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.

GM tinkering with Silverado, Sierra model mix amidst strong early sales

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. That's a lesson that is currently being taught to General Motors, because despite a strong showing from its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the General's pickup sales still can't best those of cross-town rival Ford.
With 59,163 trucks moved, GM fell just over 1,000 units short of toppling Ford, and one of the main reasons for that, according to GM's chief sales analyst, was due to a lack of variety in the engines and body styles available on dealer lots. "We are still over-weighted toward crew-cab V8 trucks. Our light-duty mix will moderate over time as our launch progresses," said Kurt McNeil.
Loading dealers with the popular combination of the 5.3-liter V8 and the four-door, Crew Cab body style was intentional during the truck's launch, but as supplies of leftover 2013 models, which are being sold at heavy incentives, are beginning to wane, both budget-conscious and high-dollar buyers are looking elsewhere instead of at the volume model pickups.

Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1

Wed, Aug 20 2014

Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party.
