1983 El Camino on 2040-cars

Here is my 83 el camino. The chasis has had a 'frame off' refurbish and refinished. The bottom of the body has also been painted. While the frame was off installed: upper and lower new control arms, ball joints, springs, all new neoprene body mounts, shocks, exhaust, front drilled brake rotors, calipers, hoses etc. The wheels are chrome moonies with some surface rust showing. The tires are dry rotted and need to be replaced.
The engine is the original 305 but it has been rebuilt with a slight modified cam, polished headers, and all new components. Transmission has shift kit and shifts fine. All belts, hoses, and pretty much everything under the hood has been replaced. Needs AC compressor. Interior has new dashpad, new carpet, and just needs TLC to finish. This is a almost restored El Camino. It does run and drive, but would suggest towing due to front end being out of alignment. needs tires The car also possibly needs rear brakes has new door opening molding,new chrome ac compressor, new rear bushing kit, needs paint has some surface rust floor ,bed rockers are solid 757-753-5380 mike |

Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild
Tue, 12 Feb 2013This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.
