For sale is my 1983 Chevrolet El Camino, I bought it from a friend back in late 2012. CALIFORNIA VEHICLE WITH CALIFORNIA LICENSE PLATES FROM 1983.
Vehicle runs excellent, was my daily driver until I bought a new vehicle, drove me 45+ miles to work each day. Selling because I had a baby and need a 2nd vehicle fit for a baby.. the elco will not do for him. Automatic transmission. Vehicle starts right away.
Has POWER WINDOWS, each door has power windows and work great, roll up and roll down just fine.
Tags - registration paid through May 2014. Clean title, vehicle under my name. Smog passed. Pink slip in hand.
305 V8 engine. Transmission and engine were rebuilt about 4 years ago, has about 30k miles since rebuild.
Lexus gray paint job with ghost flames in the front also done about 4 years ago.
Vehicle comes with 20 inch Iroc rims, very nice and in great condition. Tires are newer as well, with plenty of tread left.
Brakes were inspected about 3 weeks ago, 80% life left. Front brakes are disc, rear brakes are drum.
All electrical parts work, lights, etc.
Suede headliner, Pioneer CD changer with MP3 Aux cable ready for iPod or other music devices. Comes with 2 speakers in the back, 2 in the front, subwoofer in the back, and an amp. System bumps pretty great.
Alarm system installed, just need to re-program remote. Grant vehicle security steering wheel installed, steering wheel comes off with key to prevent theft.
Odometer stopped working about 1k miles ago.
The car is definitely a head turner.
New Parts: Heater core, thermostat, battery, spark plugs, radiator cap, radiator fluid, oil change, and all engine/tranny fluids.
Flowmaster exhaust sounds very strong when car is turned on. People give many compliments on the vehicle everywhere I go. Definitely an attention grabber.

You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner
Sat, 24 Aug 2013For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.

GM recalls Colorado, Canyon, and Malibu for airbag problem
Wed, Mar 9 2016The Basics: General Motors will recall and issue a stop sale on 1,740 total examples of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, Malibu, and GMC Canyon. This includes 1,579 units in the US and 161 in Canada. The Problem: The second stage of the driver front airbag inflator might not be present. If this happens, the airbag won't fill as quickly as it should in a high-speed crash, which could increase the risk of injury, according to Reuters. This is not related in any way to Takata's inflator problems, and these parts come from a different supplier. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: GM will replace the vehicles' airbag assemblies. If You Own One: GM spokesperson Tom Wilkinson told Autoblog he wasn't specifically sure when recall repairs would begin but said it would be "shortly." He expects the fixes to happen "quickly" because of the small number of affected vehicles, and many of them are either in transport or already in dealer stock. More Information: GM recalled the 2015 Canyon and Colorado in 2014 for a completely separate airbag issue. In that case, a manufacturing error improperly wired the connectors. Related Video: GM Statement GM is recalling 1,579 MY 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Malibu vehicles in the United States and 161 in Canada to replace driver-side front airbags. The second stage of the airbag may not deploy properly in certain high-speed crashes. During a routine quality inspection, it was determined that a component required for a second-stage/high-output deployment was not loaded during the inflator build. Dealers will replace the driver-side front airbag assembly. There have been no reports of crashes or injuries related to this issue. This issue is unrelated to the ongoing Takata recalls.
