1970 Chevrolet El Camino Ss 454 on 2040-cars
Nipomo, California, United States
This is a 1970 SS 454 CLONE, it was not a factory Big Block. Most trim powder coated satin black. 17x9.5 & 17x8 Boyd Cottingtons with Nittos that have virtually no miles. Runs and Drives. I've had for 7 years. It was supposed to be a rebuilt motor/trans when I purchased. I drove it home (50 miles) and it ran really strong. I probably haven't put 100 miles on since then. I would not sell as a rebuild ( I have no documentation). The car had no leaks when I purchased. It has developed a few drips over the years, certianly from lack of use. It is stored indoors. It has no knock, pings, or any other tales of a tired drivetrain. I've been pretty much negative thus far, look at my feedback, I'd rather be honest than have someone upset. Bottom line, this car looks sick. Everytime I pull it out of the garage, people go nuts. I'm selling because my wife and I are building a new home & we could use the extra money. I'm advertising locally so I may pull ad at anytime. My phone number is (805)588-3895 7am-7pm PST if you have any questions.
I will deliver within 100 miles of 93444, and can deliver for $1.00/mile after that. I will assist in setting up transportation for delivery if needed. |

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]
Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
GM files to trademark name Badlands
Mon, Feb 23 2015If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon. New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette
Mon, 04 Feb 2013If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
