My third El Camino, and my nicest. Purchased 1 1/2 years ago. Only thing I have done is a tune-up, electronic ignition, and replaced turn-signal parts inside steering wheel. Runs very good. Air-conditioner needs converted to r134a. You can put r12 in, and it blows cold, but soon leaks out. Should not be a major issue. Has spare tire and the original bumper-jack. Also included is the original orange 1968 Oklahoma license plate. Very good tires on Keystone wheels. All chrome in good shape. Engine is 1999 vortec 350 with Edelbrock intake and 600cfm carberator. 200R4 auto transmission with 2500 stall converter and B & M floor shifter. Included in buy it now price is numbers-matching 327 engine. It was running when replaced, but losing compression on one cylinder. Would need to be re-built. Tailgate has SS396 emblem on it. It is not, and never was, an SS396. The front fenders have "327" on them. Box of build receipts and pint of touch-up paint included. Please do not bid if you are not serious. This truck is for sale locally, so listing may end at any time.. this is a very nice truck and I am not going to give it away. I do not have to sell it, just have other projects that need my attention. Deposit will not be refunded unless this truck does not meet buyer's expectations. Got it out of the garage today and ran for a while. man, it runs great. if no one buys it, it will not hurt my feelings. GM reports third straight sales drop in China in 2020
Wed, Jan 6 2021BEIJING — General Motors' vehicle sales in China fell 6.2% in 2020, as the U.S. automaker suffered a prolonged slowdown in the world's biggest auto market. GM, China's second biggest foreign automaker, delivered 2.9 million vehicles in the country last year, the company said on Wednesday, for a third straight decline in annual sales. But sales have been recovering in the second half of last year, up 12% between July and September and 14% in the final three months. GM has a Shanghai-based joint venture with SAIC Motor, in which the Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac vehicle brands are made. It also has another Liuzhou-based venture, with SAIC and Guangxi Automobile Group, in which they make no-frills minivans and have started to make higher-end cars. Sales of its Buick brand grew 4% on the year and Wuling rose 9%, the statement said. Luxury brand Cadillac's sales increased 8%. Sales of GM's more affordable Baojun brand dropped 33% last year, while sales of its mass-market Chevrolet tumbled 30%. GM's delivery of 2.9 million vehicles in China follows 3.09 million vehicles in 2019, 3.65 million vehicles in 2018, and 4.04 million in 2017, for a three-year decrease of 28%.
GM files to trademark name Badlands
Mon, Feb 23 2015If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon.
