1967 Chevrolet Elcamino Custom Show Car. This car has had a lot of money invested. It has custom paint, full hydraulics, custom interior. The car was from southern California and is a very solid car. Work that was done to the car was done professionally from custom shops in California. The car was built as a show car, and made the January 06 Low Rider magazine. The body on this car is perfect, there is only one chip in the paint (see pictures) other than that the paint is perfect. It is sprayed in PPG base coat/ clear coat and has custom air brushed grafics.  All the chrome and stainless was redone and look great. The car does have full hydraulics and has Zenith California knock off spoke wheels. The interior has custom door panels, headliner, and seat. The dash is original, car has factory AC but is not hooked up under the hood. The motors is a rebuilt 350, runs great.A couple of thing with the car, it was a show car so it was not driven, it was taken to a show. There is no wipers, the wiper motor is there but it is not hooked up the wiper blades are off and custom caps were put on. The car was trucked into Pennsylvania in 2007 It was stored in a warehouse it was not driven by the last owner. The car runs and drives good, it needs batterys for the hydraulic system. sitting around they went bad. There is a reasonable reserve (much less than what has been invested) so this is a chance to have a custom car you only just dream about at a fraction of what it cost to build. If you have no feedback please email me before bidding. Please be serious, and have the fund to pay for it.

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala

Fri, 31 May 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
