I asked if they had a orginal bottom frame and some upper frames that matched like a recaro seat. They told me no. I went back to their warehouse and found two upper frames from a bucket and center arm rest. I put them together and everything fit. So I have a orginal bottom and upper like bucket recaro seat. and with center arm up seats 3 people. New firewall pad. One thing that I forgot to add. Have you ever went to a car show or to a car event and have seen cars with a lot of money in them and when you look at the door gaps and hood gaps and body lines nothing lines up. I am a fanatic about gaps. I make sure that the gaps in the fenders and hood to the doors match up perfectly. And all of the body lines match up. I spend hours making sure everything lines up. That is just a querk of mine. I have all receipts. I am sure that I am missing a lot of things. I finished this a couple of years ago and got so busy never had time to drive. there is a little wiggle room on the price but not much. I am afraid to add up all receipts. Vehicle has less than 200 miles since completed License plates do not go with the vehicle. only one thing to do is to hook up ac condenser and charge the air conditioning . When I purchased this vehicle it had been sitting for 15 years. The mileage was 52433 do not know if orginal but when I had the guage rebuilt I left the same mileage. I did have photos of body off the frame and engine on the frame but I had a computer virus and I did a restore to a back date and has items go on the c drive. But now I have to figure out how to retrieve them back from the c drive. Please ask if you have any questions Steven Smith 909-797-2786

Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
Best and Worst GM Cars
Thu, Apr 7 2022Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded. While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.
