Mint 2008 Corvette Convertible in a STUNNING Crystal Red exterior and a rare two tone red/black interior. Car is garage kept and driven on sunny days only. Car never sits outside and is driven, wiped off and immediately covered back up. The car sits on a plush carpet in the garage and not a concrete floor. Oil was just changed by Chevy dealer who asked if I was interested in trading my baby. Mats were covered to preserve the original mats and has a trunk mat made custom for the Corvette. Car has a new battery as well - decided to change due to age. The car is highly optioned with $12,930 in options: Z-51 Performance Package (cross drilled brakes rotors, performance tuned suspension, stabilizer bars, springs and shocks), forged chrome wheels, 6 speed automatic paddle shift trans, dual mode exhaust (Car has 436 HP stock), Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat paint, Two-tone seats with embroidery headrest, Rear axle 2:73, 3LT package includes: 6 disc CD, Bose premium 7 speaker system, XM satellite, Heads up display, Power telescoping wheel, Heated seats, Memory package, Universal remote, Steering wheel radio controls and power top. This car has 4200 easy/babied miles. I am not a young adult and just enjoyed taking a ride to the beach. I have a reproduction window sticker and build sheet included in the sale - MSRP $68.355. Also included are the original books and sales brochure for this car. Based upon what I could find while researching the car, Chevrolet made 35310 cars and 7545 were convertibles, 1545 were painted in Crystal red and only a few hundred were produced with this interior color. The car is as close to new as you can find and I get compliments every place I go or even at a stop light. I am a responsible adult who has owned many fine cars, motorcycles, boats and snowmobiles. Car is mint and needs nothing! Many of these cars are driven hard...not this one. I treat it like one of my kids. I do have a partial loan out on the car and this will need to be paid off by the new buyer to obtain the title. This is not a fire sale and I have no interest in any trades or offers. Please ask any and all questions. The car is for sale locally thus, could end at anytime. Contact me if you would like to see the car in person - no joy rides, serious buyers only. Buyer is responsible for pick up from my home in Middletown, NJ. 07748. ALL funds must clear and loan paid off and released by bank prior to this car leaving my garage. Thanks and have a nice day.

Chevy Bolt EV, Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Ridgeline take 2017 NACTOY prizes
Mon, Jan 9 2017Every year the 2017 North American International Auto Show kicks off with the North American Car of the Year Awards. We say "awards" after all those mentions of our home continent because it's not just cars. This year, in fact, the awards spread out to three separate honors: Car, Truck, and Utility. And without further ado, here are the winners. The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV is the Car of the Year, the Honda Ridgeline is the Truck of the Year, and the Chrysler Pacifica is the Utility of the Year. Honda's win is perhaps the biggest surprise, upsetting favorite the Ford F Super Duty for the win. The second-generation Ridgeline rides on a unibody platform and is offered in front- or all-wheel-drive, which is unconventional for a pickup. But the layout also offers a cargo bed with an in-floor trunk and solid fuel economy figures of 19 city, 26 highway in its most-efficient form. The Chevy Bolt EV, however, was probably the easiest winner to predict. Its 238-mile range and sub-$30,000 starting price after tax credits make it a breakthrough in the landscape of electric vehicles. With the Chrysler Pacifica available in a plug-in hybrid form, this year's award illustrates the industry's shift towards efficiency and electrification. And with Ford's recent announcement on future EVs, it might not be long will it be until we see a hybrid truck on the award stage as well.Related Video:
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set
Tue, Jul 19 2022Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, hence the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950s and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with the American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
