If you are looking for a good driver quality Corvette that you can drive and enjoy with out breaking your entire life savings then look no further!!

Here is a 1970 Corvette coupe that is a great driver! This car has a very solid frame and bird cage and shows no signs of rust!! It was born an original code 974 Monza red with code 407 red vinyl interior. This car is equipped with power steering, power disc brakes, removable back glass, T-tops, and air condition (a/c is all there but does not work??)

The car has its original matching # 350/300 engine with a 400 automatic transmission and factory rear end. The car runs and drives smooth and has no known mechanical problems.  The headlight doors go up and down and wiper door works well also but wipers their self do not work!

This car is not perfect but is not priced at perfect money. This will make someone a good starter car to drive now and tinker with along the way. The car has a good body. The paint is aprox 25 years old and shows its age.  It looks  awesome going up the road and even walking around it  from 5 foot away. But when you get up on it up close you will see its age car is showing some cracking in the paint here and there not visible in the pics. I would rate the paint about a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. All of the glass chrome is excellent. The interior is all factory correct and shows very nice with very minimal wear. The dash pad has a few small cracks not visible in the pictures other than that its all good.

This vette was found in a garage where it set from aprox 1988 up until 2011. It was bought gotten out of storage and gotten back up on its feet with a good wash, buffing, light detail in the engine bay and with all the brakes being gone through calipers, belts, hoses, lines plugs, wires, etc.  It is now safe, fun and dependable to drive!!

Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1

Wed, Aug 20 2014

Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party. Car Club USA: Louisiana Mudfest

Tue, Jun 16 2015

There's nothing quite like mudding. Big tires, huge power, and crazy-wild gearheads that like to throw down on a mud pit almost as much as a thirty rack of Coors. In the latest, and some might argue greatest yet episode of Car Club USA, we head to Louisiana to throw some dirt at Mudfest. As Louisiana's one and only Mouth of the South puts it, "If you don't mud ride... go to Texas I guess." Joining The Mouth and friendly rivals The Most Hated Mud Sluts, we dive in. Beyond the obvious V8 blasting and tractor-tire spinning, those who know best describe Mudfest as, "Good cooking, good friends, good fun, and a lot of partying." It's a motorsport spectacle unlike any you're likely to find up North or out West, though no less impressive to behold. Follow along with the fun, the impromptu drag racing, the trash talking, and the mechanical madness. And find out why, at Mudfest, "if we don't tear it up, we ain't done it right." Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures. From Main Street cruises to off-road trails, catch all the latest car club activity on Autoblog. Chevrolet Ford Jeep RAM Truck Off-Road Vehicles Car Club USA Videos autoblog black

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

Fri, 03 Aug 2012

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
