Thanks for looking at my 2014 C7 Corvette! Now for the details:
VEHICLE HISTORY:
This 2014 Corvette 3LT was purchased new from Classic Chevrolet in Dallas in the spring of 2014. I have the
original owners contact info. I've had conversations with him about the car. This gentleman bought the car and
drove it on the weekends only before trading it back in to Classic Chevrolet in the fall of 2015 for a new 2016 Z51
red on red Corvette. He babied the car and kept it under cover in his garage when it wasn't being driven. It rarely
saw rain. I bought the car from Classic Chevrolet for $51,250 in the spring of 2016. I wanted black on red leather.
I think this is the ULTIMATE color combo!! It sits in my garage under a factory GM C7 red car cover (see pic). I
drive the car on the weekends only. I've put less than 500 miles on the car since I've owned it. I simply don't
drive it as much as I would like to. That's really the only reason I'm selling it.
EXTERIOR:
The Factory GM Black paint is flawless. It looks exactly like it did the day this C7 Corvette rolled off the
showroom floor. There are no nicks, chips, dings, dents. The original Michelin tires still look new and have 85-90%
tread life left. They are nitrogen filled. The mint GM chrome wheels were a $1,995 factory upgrade. The red
calipers were a $595 factory upgrade. The multi-mode performance exhaust was a $1,995 factory upgrade. The Z51
style spoiler was a $530 dealer-installed option. Two factory removeable roofs come with the car. The original roof
that came on the car is a body-colored roof with a black headliner. It rests in a factory GM heavily-padded
carrying case (see pic). The second roof is a factory GM see-through removeable roof. It gives the appearance on
the outside of being body-colored, but when you sit inside the car and look up, it's like having no roof on the car
- it's totally clear. It's neat technology! I paid $2,000 for this roof back in the summer.
INTERIOR:
The red leather interior with black trim and red stitching is FLAWLESS! There are no rips, stains, tears. All
functions work flawlessly. There is absolutely no fading to any of the interior - further eveidence the car has
spent its entire life in a garage and under cover when not driven. The car comes with Sirius radio and I renewed
the subscription, effective til the end of 2016. I will continue to pay this monthly for you as an added
incentive!! See the window sticker for all of the standard and upgraded factory equipment this car has on it. I
purchased factory GM 'Stingray' floor mats with red stitching, and a factory GM 'Stingray' cargo area mat (see
pics). The original factory GM mats come with the car.
ENGINE BAY:
Still looks like the day it rolled off the showroom floor. I keep it detailed and clean and looking new. Back in
October, I had the first oil change/service under the 2 year/24 month plan I received when I bought the car. All
engine mechanicals/functions work perfectly.
Thanks so much for reading and for your interest in my C7 Corvette! I've tried to include pics and info so you can
see exactly what you are getting. The car needs nothing! It's ready to drive and enjoy! Remember: it comes with two
roofs, a heavily-padded carrying case, and a factory GM cover (with the Corvette logo throughout) with bag, dealer
literature, window sticker, two keys, as well as folder of other receipts. This ABSOLUTELY MINT C7 Corvette is
completely accident-free and has a clean Carfax.

Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.

Chevy Silverado Midnight Edition, Custom ready to stand out in pickup line

Thu, Feb 12 2015

Chevrolet spent its Chicago Auto Show introducing a pair of fullsize pickups that promise image-conscious buyers a truck experience that goes beyond the standard range, with the murdered-out Midnight Edition and the um, not murdered-out, Custom. Let's start with the Custom, which adds 20-inch alloys, as well as chrome bumpers, mirror caps and door handles to the Silverado LS. Available in both V6 and V8 varieties, and with the customer's choice of two- or four-wheel drive, the Silverado Custom is the decidedly mellower example of Chevy's special edition styling. The Midnight Edition, meanwhile, throws subtlety out the window with a menacing set of visual upgrades. Based on the Z71, the Midnight adds 18-inch wheels, a spray-in bedliner and unique Z71 and Bowtie badges, all in black, of course. The front and rear bumpers, headlamp bezels, tow hooks, mirror caps and door handles, are also finished in the stealthy shade. Check out our live images of both special edition trucks, and let us know what you think down in Comments.

Chevrolet To Oversee Restoring Sinkhole Corvettes

Fri, Feb 14 2014

What Mother Earth devoured, Chevrolet plans to resurrect. The carmaker said Thursday it will oversee restoration of the classic cars swallowed by a huge sinkhole beneath the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky. General Motors Design in Warren, Mich., will manage the painstaking work to repair the eight prize vehicles, the automaker said Thursday. The cars were consumed when the earth opened up early Wednesday beneath a display area when the museum in Bowling Green, Ky., was closed. No injuries were reported. The museum was open Thursday except for the area where the sinkhole occurred. Mark Reuss, GM's head of global product development, said the damaged vehicles rank as "some of the most significant in automotive history." "There can only be one 1-millionth Corvette ever built," he said, referring to one of the damaged cars. "We want to ensure as many of the damaged cars are restored as possible so fans from around the world can enjoy them." Just how the cars will be pulled out of the ground remains to be seen, said museum executive director Wendell Strode. The local fire department estimated the hole is about 40 feet across and 25 to 30 feet deep. The hole opened beneath part of the museum's domed section. "We feel pretty confident that most of the cars can be extracted," Strode said Thursday. "And we hope and believe that with just a little bit of luck, that all eight cars can be extracted and be part of the restoration." Chevrolet spokesman Monte Doran said some of the cars look to be in good shape, while others are buried in rubble. "It will likely be several weeks until we can get the cars out and assessed," he said. The GM Design team has helped restore other historic cars, but the Corvette project looks to be its biggest, he said. "These Corvettes are part of our history, and they want them restored properly," Strode said. "We're thrilled they're doing this." The cars looked like toys as they plunged into the hole, piled in a heap amid dirt and concrete fragments. The museum owns six of the cars while two - a 1993 ZR-1 Spyder and a 2009 ZR1 Blue Devil - are on loan from General Motors. The other cars damaged were a 1962 black Corvette, a 1984 PPG Pace Car, a 1992 White 1 Millionth Corvette, a 1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvette, a 2001 Mallett Hammer Z06 Corvette and a 2009 white 1.5 Millionth Corvette. Pictures of the sinkhole showed a collapsed section of floor with multiple cars visible inside the hole.
