Hi Folks,

I am selling my 2012 Corvette Convertible with the 3LT Package.  Automatic Transmission.  The exterior color is Blade Silver Metallic, the interior is Titanium Gray and the convertible top is Black.  This car is in excellent condition.  It only has 1,990 miles on it, though the mileage will probably go up some due to test rides, etc.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with this car.  There is not a lot to say about the condition since it is very close to new condition.  I keep all of my cars and motorcycles in top condition.  All my vehicles are stored in a climate controlled shop.  I am a fanatic about maintenance and cleanliness.  I bought this car new from Deery Brothers Cheverolet in Iowa.  When I received the car, I immediately added 93 octane fuel and SeaFoam.  At 408 miles I had Bud's Cheverolet, St. Mary's, OH, do an oil change and filter change.  I always change the oil and filters in my vehicles after the first several hundred miles.

I have also done several upgrades.  I installed a new Kenwood DNX570HD Stereo Head Unit with External Bluetooth Mic.  This has Garmin Navigation, Sirius XM, Bluetooth, CD Player, etc.  Also installed JL Audio front and rear speakers.  The stereo upgrade cost $1,300.  I still have the original Bose unit and speakers.  Nothing has been altered on the car to install the stereo.  It was simply plug and play and can easily be switched back to OEM, which is the Bose 9 Premium Audio System.

The car also came with the OEM DVD Navigation System.  I did not use this system, nor did I open the DVD that comes with it.

I have not activated the 1 year XM radio free trial.  Nor have I opened the DVD for the Garmin Navigation.  I also did not activate the free 6 months OnStar subscription.

In addition to the 3LT Package, this car also as the F55 option, which is the Magnetic Selective Ride suspension package.  If you have never used this, it is simply awesome!  I was very impressed with the quality of the ride.  When you switch it from Tour to Sport, it really firms it up, but Tour is perfect for everyday driving.  I would never own another Corvette without it.

Another great option, which this car has, is the 6 Speed Paddle Shift Automatic Transmission.  What a blast!  I have always been a manual transmission guy, but not anymore!  In fact, I bought a 2013 Mazda Miata and ordered the Paddle Shift Auto Transmission on it, also!

The car also has the Traction Control System and Active Handling System.

Also added was the NPP exhaust option ($1,700.00).  This is a dual exhaust mode which allows the user to choose whether to run in quiet mode or loud mode.  Again, another option I wouldn't do without.  This allows you to run in a quiet mode when you don't want the noise.  But, when you turn it to loud, it really wakes up!  From the factory, it only becomes loud when the RPM reaches a certain threshold.  However, I also had installed Sunset Creations Elite Exhaust Commander ($300.00), which allows the user to control the quiet/loud mode at their choosing.  The Exhaust System was installed by Troy at Bud's Cheverolet, St. Mary's, OH.

More upgrades:

Lloyd Floor Mats with embroidery and Lloyd Cargo Mat ($300.00)

WindRestrictor ($400)

Dual Cup Holders ($50)

I think that just about describes the vehicle. I encourage people to come and see the car in person. I think you will be impressed with the car and the cleanliness of my home and shop.  I am a very particular person when it comes to my vehicles and shop.

When I received the car, I also did an extensive detailing to it. I first gave it a thorough washing using only car wash soap. Then I used a clay bar on the entire car. When I was done, I did another thorough washing. Next up came a gentle polish using my Flex XC 3401 Orbital Polisher. After that I finished off with Wolfgang's Paint Sealant.  For everyday cleaning I use Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Spray Wax and Pinnacle Detail Spray. I only use high quality Microfiber towels on my vehicles.

I have the clear title in hand.  I have all receipts and paperwork including both key fobs and manuals.  I also have the original window sticker.  The vehicle is covered by the remainder of the 5 year/100,000 mile warranty.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks for your time!

Chris McCarthy

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
