This is a 2007 Brickyard Convertible Corvette in Very good condition. I purchased this car in August of 2009 and it has been garaged and covered. I have put maybe 500 miles on it. It has less than 14,000 miles on it now. I have alot of documentation for it also. I am the second owner. It has never been parked outside since August of 2009. I have added Yellow and Black seat covers, metal floor mats and a Borla Exhaust. I still have the original exhaust system however. I also have the original floor mats and I also have a soft cover for the car. It has always been hand washed. I have 2 sets of keys.
This was one of the Festival/Event cars that was used at the 2007 Brickyard race in Indianapolis. It has all of the graphics and was Number 19 of 20 made. I have a clear title. Below is an appraisers opinion.
Appraisal for Number 19 Indianapolis Motor Speedway Brickyard 400 Festival Car
VIN 1G1YY36U475134863
To Maria Tabares: Date: August 2, 2012
I inspected your Indianapolis Brickyard special festival or event car, as Chevrolet called them, on July 30, 2012 in preparation to developing a current value appraisal.
Maria’s car is a beautiful example of the 20 produced for the August 2007 Brickyard NASCAR race.
I could not find one of the 20 cars as in the picture above listed for sale anywhere across the country. That tells me that they are indeed rare. So, in lieu of the actual value of one of these kinds of Corvettes with low mileage I had to base my decision on my gut feeling and that of other knowledgeable people.
Also, documentation is all there. Alot of research was done on this car and Maria has all of the documention in emails and paperwork.
Flag lot and track car number still on the windshield, Chevrolet to Speedway transfer paperwork, and photos of the car in use and what it is used for
So, with your moderately low mileage, all original car, including wheels and tires, all your original
documentation, your accumulation of brickyard supporting documentation for your numbered 19 car
out of the total 20 produced my opinion of your Serial # 34863 Corvette is as follows:
I would appraise your 2007 Indianapolis Brickyard Allstate Festival
/Event Corvette at the following:
Base Corvette Convertible $41,900**
Add for Event Car Graphics $6,000
Total Current 2012 price $47,900**This price includes 3LT preferred equipment group ($5,540)
THIS CORVETTE IS PRICED TO SELL. THE RESERVE IS VERY REASONABLE. UNIQUE CORVETTE FOR SALE AND READY TO GO!

No, Cadillac is not killing its flagship CT6 sedan
Sat, Jul 22 2017Mark Twain never actually said that reports of his death had been greatly exaggerated. But if the Cadillac CT6 could talk, those are the exact words it would use. Speaking to Jalopnik, Cadillac chief Johan de Nysschen confirmed, emphatically, "There is absolutely no plan, at all, to cancel the CT6." In fact, says de Nysschen, the CT6 will soon be the beneficiary of significant investment. "The [CT6] forms a very important part of our product strategy going forward for the brand. The car also has a very major contribution to make to the shaping of brand perceptions, and the transformational process that Cadillac is undergoing." For instance, expect the CT6 to spearhead General Motors' most advanced forays into self-driving automobile technology. Interestingly, though, the Cadillac ATS and CTS sedans probably won't live past their current generations as the automaker 're-balances its sedan portfolio.' Replacement models are "in development" right now, says de Nysschen, which will "much more clearly separate the market position, both in terms of target customer demographics, in terms of market segments and in terms of price points between these three sedan lineups." So, that's confirmation that the Cadillac CT6 is going to stick around for a while. But what of other models cited by Reuters to potentially be killed, like the Buick LaCrosse and Chevy Impala and Volt? Read our take on that here, but suffice it to say that we don't think they're in danger, either. Recharge Wrap-up: NEDC's NOx problems, autonomous Chevy Volts
Mon, Dec 7 2015The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) found a significant difference in NOx emissions in Euro 6 diesel cars in NEDC and WLTC testing. While 88 percent of the cars tested met emissions standards for NEDC, NOx emissions averaged five times higher under WLTC, with only 27 percent of vehicles under the limit. WLTC is considered to be a more realistic driving cycle, using hot starts and factoring a higher top speed as well as harder and more frequent accelerations than the NEDC. Employees will be able to use a carsharing app to reserve a car, which will then drive itself to the set destination. The project will allow GM to collect important data and experience to help the company more quickly develop autonomous driving technology. The lithium-ion batteries used to power the EV were recycled from other Renault EVs. With the electric Trafic, Carwatt – a company that converts vehicles to use electric power – aims to demonstrate the "circular economy" of batteries, which can provide more value through a longer lifecycle. Read more in the press release below. Carwatt presents a unique automotive application for second-life batteries from electric vehicles. On the sidelines of the COP21 summit, in the Solutions Gallery running from 2 to 9 December 2015 in Le Bourget near Paris, Carwatt and its partners —Renault, Paris City Council, BPI France, the Ales Ecole des Mines Engineering School, and the Bobigny Business Campus — are showing a very special electric Renault Trafic. This prototype vehicle, the only one of kind in the world, is powered by second-life lithium-ion batteries recycled from Renault electric cars. Circular economy at work with electric vehicles When, over time, the batteries of a Renault electric vehicle fall the performance threshold specified for their initial automotive power duty (around 75% of initial capacity), they can still provide valuable service in "second-life" applications before end-of-life disposal at a recycling centre. Experiments are already under way on power storage applications, for example.
Ford Police Interceptors dominate Michigan State Police testing
Tue, Nov 1 2016Once again, Ford Motor Company builds the fastest police vehicles. The Blue Oval touted the news in an official release following Michigan State Police and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department testing. Ford did very well. Except for one acceleration metric – zero to 10 miles per hour – the Blue Oval's Taurus and Explorer-based cop cars were the quickest, with particular praise coming for the EcoBoost-powered models, which bested Chevrolet and Dodge's V8-powered variants. Dearborn's products also posted the fastest average times around MSP's vehicle dynamics course. But it wasn't all positive for Ford. The only four-cylinder in the contest, the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost Ford SSP Sedan, had both the lowest top speed, 120 mph, and the slowest acceleration figures. It was also the slowest in track testing. Ford's products also failed to match the braking and top speeds of its rivals from Detroit and Auburn Hills – the rear-drive Charger Pursuit posted the best braking stats of the entire test, while the V8-powered Chevrolet Caprice hit the highest top speed, at 155 mph. Ford did score a top speed award, among SUVs, but at 132 mph, the naturally aspirated Police Interceptor Utility had to share its award with the equally fast, rear-drive Chevrolet Tahoe. The LA County Sheriff's timing isn't publicly available, but according to Ford, the EcoBoost-powered police cars put on a similarly impressive show for cops on the West Coast. We've assembled a spreadsheet on Google Docs that offers an easy to browse comparison of the different stats assembled by the Michigan State Police, and divided the vehicles between standard V6-powered sedans, high-performance sedans (EcoBoost and V8 models), and SUVs. You can check it out here. Related Video:
