This is my personal 2006 Chevy Corvette Convertible for sale. Car has been in garage since new except to commute to my office 100 miles each way on the nice summer days. If you've been looking for one of these. . .this one has been kept up meticulously, including all service records and any recalls.

I just put 4 brand new Conti DW tires on in last 30 days...

Notice the grey convertible top, which is rare for this year, compared to the more commonly seen standard black top. This one is also a manual top, as I personally had many many problems with my last conv corvette with the power top. That was my experience anyway.

It has the heads up display package and the premium sound with 6-cd changer.

As seen in the pictures, the following add-ons were installed, most at dealership:
*Corsa Sport Stainless Steel Exhaust from cats back. Very quiet like stock, until you floor it, then a beautiful sounding exhaust. No drone whatsoever. Includes lifetime warranty paperwork.
*Factory GM chrome side cove grills behind front wheels.
*Factory GM matching painted silver door handles, instead of standard flat black.
* Factory GM ZR-1 Rear Spoiler on deck lid (taller than stock).
* Halltech Air Filter
* Window Valet (allows windows to be raised lowered or vented by pressing lock/unlock combos on remote.

Everything works perfectly, and I know of no imperfections on the vehicle. If you would like to see some closer shots of something, I will try to accommodate.

There is a report filed for this car, near my office in Fayetteville NC, where the car was hit in a parking lot, by a shopping cart, on the front nose, and the person didn't have insurance, so the police were called and a report taken as a precaution.  There ended up being no permanent damage, as it buffed out completely without anything else.  I've included a very close picture of the nose, so you can see for yourself.

That's it. I've sold many of my personal vehicles on Ebay & CraigsList without ever having any problems. . .2 LS-6 Chevelles, 3 Corvettes, and a Cadillac STS-V to date.

PLEASE READ PARAGRAPHS BELOE BEFORE CONTACTING ME

PAYMENT: I will except cash only for this transaction. No personal checks, paypal, bogus certiefied checks on sat, etc etc. I'm aware of all the CraigsList scams going on, and until the $ is IN MY HAND, you are wasting both of our time.

If you are arranging transportation and I am involved, other than pulling the car out of the garage at my home, YOU WILL NEED TO FIGURE THAT OUT WITH ME AHEAD OF TIME, and get your own quotes from zip 28405.

Junkyard Gem: 2003 Chevrolet Tracker

Wed, May 22 2024

When General Motors created the Geo brand to sell vehicles designed and — in some cases — built by Japanese partners, the first four models were introduced for the 1989 model year: the Metro (Suzuki Cultus), Prizm (Toyota Sprinter), Spectrum (Isuzu Gemini) and Tracker (Suzuki Sidekick). Geo got the axe in 1997, with the Metro, Prizm and Tracker becoming Chevrolets. Of those, the Tracker survived the longest, with U.S.-market sales continuing into 2004. Here's an example of a very late Tracker, found in a North Carolina car graveyard recently. The 1989-1997 first-generation Trackers were based on the Suzuki Sidekick, while the 1998-2004 Trackers had the Suzuki Vitaras (not to be confused with the much grander Grand Vitaras) as their siblings. Production of these trucks for the South American market (as the Chevrolet Vitara) continued in Ecuador all the way through 2014. The Tracker name has also gone onto some versions of the Chevrolet Trax around the world. This one is a base four-door hard top/rear-wheel-drive model, which had an MSRP of $17,330. That's about $29,789 in 2024 dollars. You'll find one in every car. You'll see. The engine is a Suzuki 2.0-liter straight-four rated at 127 horsepower and 134 pound-feet. A five-speed manual was base equipment, but very few American vehicle shoppers wanted three pedals by the middle 2000s. This truck has the Aisin four-speed automatic. We like it loud. It appears that someone associated with this truck graduated from Julius L. Chambers High School last year. In the United States, the Tracker was replaced by the Saturn Vue. If Tracker can handle (unspecified Middle Eastern country), it can survive the jungle back home. Siempre contigo.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
