For sale is a 2003 Corvette that's a 2-Owner car with 94k & in Excellent Shape! The car comes loaded up with ICE COLD AC, HUD, Leather, keyless entry w/ alarm, Kenwood AM/FM w/ CD Painted targa top, & chrome thin spoked wheels, plus more, all options work 100% except the temp control display does not light up(common in C5'S)! The outside is in GREAT SHAPE, the front bumper has 2 small scuff marks and just some small wear on the rockers from driving! The car seems to be Original paint & shines like new when clean, it's always been washed in wax & stored in Garage when not in use! The interior is in great shape with NO stains just some very small wear & small tear on the driver side seat, very clean car! The motor runs 100% with no leaks or burning of oil & the transmission is smooth aswell. The car was Pro-Comp Tuned when the car had the VR Cold Air Intake & Borla cat back installed so the some factory settings were changed out, other than that the car is great! Just in the last month the car had some service done: 4 New tire's, 4 NEW tire pressure sensors, New oil sending unit along with upper intake gaskets replaced, New belts, New battery, all 02's change out, fresh oil change, & Just passed NY State inspection so its ready to go! 800k car names trademarked globally, suddenly alphanumerics seem reasonable
Tue, 01 Oct 2013What's in a name? This cliched phrase probably gets tossed out at every marketing meeting that happens when a new car gets its nomenclature. We know the answer, though: everything. The name of a car has all the potential to make or break it with fickle customers that are more conscious than ever about what their purchases say about them.
That's giving headaches to marketing folks across the automotive industry. "It's tough. In 1985 there were about 75,000 names trademarked in the automotive space. Today there are 800,000," Chevrolet's head of marketing, Russ Clark, told Automotive News. Infiniti's president, Johan de Nysschen, echoed Clark's sentiment, saying, "The truth of the matter is, across the world, there is hardly a name or a letter that hasn't already been claimed by one car manufacturer or another. You can go through the alphabet - A, B, C and so forth - and you will quickly see that almost all available letters are taken."
What has that left automakers to do? Get creative. In the case of Infiniti, it made the controversial move to bring all of its cars' names into a new scheme, classifying them as Q#0 for cars and QX#0 for SUVs and crossovers. So the Infiniti G, which was available as the G25 and G37, is now the Q50. The FX37 and FX50 are now the QX70.

Tue, Nov 15 2016The finalists for the 2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year were announced Tuesday at AutoMobility LA ahead of the 2016 LA Auto Show. Approximately 60 judges, including Autoblog's editor-in-chief Mike Austin, evaluated over 40 vehicles and named three models as the finalists in each category. The award for the Utility Vehicle of the Year is new for 2017 and separates SUVs, crossovers, and minivans from pickup trucks. The finalists are: Car of the Year: Chevrolet Bolt Genesis G90 Volvo S90 Truck of the Year: Ford F-Series Super Duty Honda Ridgeline Nissan Titan Utility Vehicle of the Year Chrysler Pacifica Jaguar F-Pace Mazda CX-9 The winners for the 24th annual NACTOY awards will be named on January 9 at the Detroit Auto Show.
